5 Things I've Added To My October To-Do List

How is it October already? I can't believe how fast this year is going and how close to Christmas we really are. Although September bought us the Autumn equinox, it's October where I feel that the leaves getting crisper and the air getting colder means that it starts to feel even more magical. 

Enjoy Our Birthdays | October is also a birthday focused month for us. I want to make sure I get to treat myself to some new clothes and maybe a makeup item or two this month - It is my birthday after all! 

Get Ready For Halloween | I never used to be that keen on Halloween, dressing up was never my sort of thing, but I'm not opposed to a horror film or two on the night and I've come around to the idea of decorating our home a little bit too. Carving pumpkins is a yearly tradition, so I can't wait to see what designs we produce this year and I'm planning on having lots of Harry Potter marathons in the month of October. 

Switching Up My Makeup | As I said I don't usually dress up for Halloween, so if you've been reading my blog since this time last year you'll know that I often share my makeup switch ups that incorporate vampy hues and sparkles that can be worn on the night with ease. Putting Halloween to one side, I do want to get my Autumnal shades back out, the reds and berries, shimmering champagnes and smokey eyes are all planning to make their way onto my makeup menu. 

Pick Up Some Sweet Treats | We're planning on going to a pumpkin patch this year to pick out a (huge!) pumpkin that we can carve. I am thinking of turning the flesh into some sweet treats or even maybe soap. Of course, October wouldn't be the same without some spooky themed sweets and candy corn. 

Plan Content | Aside from holidays, I rarely create content too far in advance, but that doesn't mean I can't plan. I've got a few ideas floating around in my head that just need to make it down on to paper, as I really want to make sure I make the most out of every upcoming event on the calendar including Christmas content!
