Partners In Prime | Urban Decay & Smashbox

Over the years I have tried and tested many facial primers ranging from high end to drug store alternatives, oil free to mattifying formulas and even though there's many more to try I thought I'd narrow down my two must have everyday primers.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer | £25 | Link | This primer was first raved about a few years ago, the clear gel primer flew off the shelves with hundreds of reviews backing up how wonderful it was. I never caved then, but a couple of months ago I decided to go on the search for primer that wouldn't irritate my sensitive skin. This primer claimed to increase the longevity of my foundation while reducing the appearance of fine lines and pores, I instantly thought to myself "Yeah right" (The often thought process I go through when buying products with miraculous promises), but after a few applications I saw a massive difference in the way my foundation seamlessly glided over my face and the wear of my make up. Even though the gel consistency could cause a problem for those with oily skin as it could cause your make up to slide off more easily, I personally found that the formula filled in my imperfections whilst giving my skin a super soft feel. It's definitely a best seller for a reason, so I would recommend it to anybody looking for a lightweight primer that helps creates a smooth, primed canvas for foundation application.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion | £8/£16 | Link | I recently expressed my love for this eyeshadow primer in my Top Eye Products post. This primer has been a cult favourite of beauty bloggers for years now. The lightweight, silky finish formula is a god send to those of you that want your eyeshadow to last throughout the day without creasing or fading. I apply this using my finger, blending out until it covers the whole of my lid. I find that not only does this primer increase the longevity of my eyeshadow but it increases the vibrancy and pigmentation too. The easy to squeeze tube allows for precise and controlled application meaning little product is ever wasted, so even though this is on the pricier side a little goes a long way. A definite must have in my make up collection and I will continue to purchase this until I find a better alternative.

Lush Tea Tree Toner Tabs |

Lush Tea Tree Toner Tabs | £1 each | Link

If you are a regular reader of my blog then it won't come as a surprise that Lush do some of my favourite skincare products and tea tree is an everyday feature in my skincare routine due to the skin clearing properties that I long for in a product.

I recently reintroduced Lush Tea Tree Toner tabs into my skincare routine as a regular treat for my problematic skin. If you're looking for a product that will give your skin a little extra TLC whilst combating breakouts and calming the skin, then Toner Tabs may be your saviour. Tea tree acts as quickly to prevent and fight blemishes with its antibacterial properties, whilst Aloe Vera is cooling and calming for the skin.

When I first purchased Toner Tabs, my initial thought was -"How am I supposed to use these?- but after a little googling, I discovered that the 2p sized tabs were easier to use than I had expected. I drop a tab into a bowl of boiling water, hold my head over the bowl letting the steam open and cleanse my pores. After it has cooled, the remaining water can be used as a toner - bonus.

I would recommend this to anybody looking for another way to pamper the skin when you feel your skin needs a cleanse and a detox. Toner tabs deliver a dose of essential oils straight to the skin, leaving the skin feeling soothed and refreshed.

Have you tried any Lush Toner Tabs?

Spring Staples |

Transitioning between Winter and Spring is probably my favourite time of the year for fashion. I love classic staple pieces, so transitioning between seasons is a great opportunity to bring out the leather jacket and stripes.

Scarves | You can't beat a scarf for adding a bit of colour to a monochrome outfit or for wrapping up warm in the evenings. I've never been one for scarves, but I do like to keep it simple with either a hounds tooth pattern or tartan.

Lightweight Cardigans | Light weight and perfect for layering especially If it isn't cold enough to need a jacket or you just want something to throw on, a lightweight cardigan is perfect especially for keeping your warm, but never so hot as to bring on those clammy winter sweats you get when you wrap up too much. I like pastels, monochrome and marl grey as a simple colour that matches the majority of my wardrobe. I tend to go for a long cut, oversized or bat wing in order to flatter my shape.

Jeans | Black jeans to be specific. Even though I wear my Topshop Joni Jeans all year round, I find that during the spring, jeans are a great transitional piece on those days when it is too cold to wear a skirt . Black is a colour that runs throughout my wardrobe and black jeans is a staple item that should be in every girls wardrobe.

Stripes | I LOVE stripes! To be honest I could wear stripes all year round and looking like a sailor is what I specialise in. However, I do think stripes work particularly well when paired with the above items. Short sleeved or 3/4's, a monochrome stripe or navy and white flatters curves as well as bringing a bit of style to catch the eye.

Zoeva 102 Silk Finish Brush |

For months now I have been reading endless reviews about Zoeva brushes and their amazing abilities to blend make up flawlessly. Even though I was initially inclined to try out the whole Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set, I opted for the one brush that appealed to me most, the 102 Silk Finish Brush.

Even though I am gutted that Zoeva don't sell individual rose gold brushes, this brush still gets a massive thumbs up from me. The super soft brushes apply liquid foundation effortlessly. I love the size and shape of this brush because it never picks up too much product, so I find that I always get an even, fully blended finish.

Have you tried any Zoeva brushes? What are your favourites?

Nars Sheer Glow |

Nars Sheer Glow

Nars Sheer Glow

If you haven't heard or tried Nars Sheer Glow then I don't know where you've been hiding. Nars Sheer Glow has been recommended to me on multiple occasions and even though it alway sounded right up my street, I hadn't got around to actually trying it for a couple of weeks.

I wasn't blown away with this foundation from the first application like I had expected however, I stuck with it and I can now conclude that I am fully on the Sheer Glow bandwagon. The medium coverage, natural looking foundation is perfect for anybody looking for an everyday, buildable foundation. I am currently in the shade 'Mont Blanc' and even though looking back I wish I had got a darker shade, I can still work with the shade I have and it's perfect for when I want to contour a bit heavier. Sheer Glow doesn't contain SPF which I personally like as I never need to fear about the flash photography and the ghost face curse again. This foundation both conceals blemishes and hides redness, whilst being non-comedogenic which means it won't clog up your pores- bonus. I apply this foundation using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to give a flawless finish that lasts throughout the day. Would I recommend Sheer Glow? 100% yes, however I will definitely be purchasing a pump next time.

Lush Tea Tree Water |

Since I've began trying out various skincare products I have quickly learnt that sometimes the simple products are the best ones. During the winter, my skin tends to have a breakdown, consisting of excessive dry patches and blemishes that never seem to disappear. If you've been reading my blog for some time, you will know how much I swear by Lush skincare to sort out my problematic skin. Their natural ingredients and lack of harsh chemicals makes my skin sing.

Tea tree has been doing its magic on my skin for as long as I can remember and I doubt my skincare routine will ever be without it. Toners are designed to shrink the appearance of pores, cleanse the skin getting rid of any dirt you've missed and to replenish your skin back to it's natural pH level. Lush Tea Tree Water is a facial mist that helps to keep your skin clear and refreshed. After cleansing, I like to spray to product directly onto a cotton pad and swipe it over my face. Unlike other facial mists, I don't feel like my make up in going to melt away if I spritz my face if I decide to freshen up during the day. Even though I have sensitive skin, I never feel like this irritates my skin, in fact I feel like my skin looks healthier and glowing from the get-go. Tea Tree is added to clarify the skin, whilst grapefruit water refreshes and Juniperberry balances the skin, all of these ingredients make my skin happy. I would recommend this to anybody that wants a light weight, natural toner which is suitable for all skin types.

Top Eye Products | Eyeliner, Mascara & Primer

January was definitely the month of the eye make up for me. I rekindled my love for eye shadow, repurchased an old favourite and tried out a newly released product. It feels like every day there is a new product being released, it can be hard to keep track and sometimes you need to separate the good from the bad. I put together a list of three products that I have fallen for in these past weeks.

L'Oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer |  £6.49 | Link | Eyeliner is one of the products I could never live without, I rarely go a day without my winged eyeliner and finding a product that lasted all day was a constant struggle. A couple of years ago, I tried out L'Oreal Super Liner and loved it from the get go, four tubes later and I decided that it was time for a change, only have I recently rekindled the love. It's an opaque, glossy finish eyeliner that lasts all day and is easy to control.

Benefit Roller Lash | £19.50 | Released March 2015 | If you haven't heard of Benefit Roller Lash then I don't know where you've been. Benefit have really outdone themselves with the style of packaging and quality of the product this time. This mascara wand both accentuates the length of your lashes, whilst increasing the volume, perfect for an everyday mascara. This mascara is available from March, but you can currently pick a sample up from Elle magazine.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Original | £8/£16 | Link | Possibly one of the most well known eye shadow primers out there, it has been around for years and has been on my wishlist for that long. Recently I became more interested in eye shadows and I wanted to try out several eye shadows primers to prolong their stay on the lid. This little tub lasts for months and I would recommend it to anybody that wants to make their eye shadows last long with increased pigmentation.

What are your current favourite eye products?
