Three Luminous Primers

Three Luminous Primers
Primers have always been a hit and miss product for me. For the longest time I used to skip it; never really seeing the benefit of the extra layer, yet now I can't get enough of them. I tend to opt for skin nourishing offerings which add a healthy dose of glow to my complexion too.

First up is the newest addition, the Becca Backlight Priming Filter* or as I like to call it, my new obsession. It has a similar effect on the skin as the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow, but this one hydrates that little bit more and adds a "lit from within" look that I'm smitten with. Although on the pricey side, a little bit goes a long way and this is one of the first primers that I can safely say I would wear without foundation- with only a smidgen of concealer- purely because it makes my skin look that good. It improves the longevity of my foundation, which is something you want every primer to do. This has quickly become one of my favourites.

Next is a recent favourite of mine, the Glossier Priming Moisturiser; the only offering of this bunch that doesn't have any shimmering particles, but instead relies on it's hydrating formula to deliver plumper, fresher and smoother looking skin. I find this prolongs the wear of my makeup too, which when used in conjunction with Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray  you just know your makeup isn't budging. It's the one I always rely on if I need an extra hydration boost

Lastly is the Nars Radiance Primer, a pink hued illuminating primer that never fails to perk up my skin. During the colder months earlier this year, this was a complexion saviour. It's silky to the touch without being oily, boosts radiance and has a lot of skin loving ingredients including SPF - something that is definitely welcomed in my everyday makeup routine.
