Adding A Little Bit Of Luxe

Some days I just want to delve into a bath filled with delicious bubbles, light a few of my favourite candles and take some time to myself. Other times, I want to slather my skin with my most luxe feeling products, put on the outfit that makes me feel happy and dive into a bundle of the softest blankets. Adding a bit of luxe to your life doesn't have to be expensive and it's one of my favourite ways to spend my money.

Makeup is something I like to spend a little more on every know and again. Hourglass and Nars are two of my favourite brands to indulge in, the Strobe Lighting Palette being a very recent purchase of mine. Even if the product itself isn't expensive, having sleek, black or dreamy rose gold packaging can all help to make a product feel a little more luxe.

Slathering your self up in a your favourite luxury feeling body cream can do the world of wonders and for me, there's nothing that makes me feel better than the Laura Mercier Creme Brûlée Body Souffle. It nourishes my skin and when paired with freshly shaven legs and new crisp, fresh sheets, it's a dream come true.

There's just something I love at the moment about painting my nails a pinky nude and then having a glitter accent nail. I find the glitter adds a luxe twist to a standard mani, but the neutral hue elongates my fingers. Essie's Summit Of Style and Not Just A Pretty Face are two of my top picks at the moment.

I'll only give a quick mention to my love for luxe candles as they feature on my blog semi-regularly. Diptyque, the more expensive offering has an array of scents that never fail to tickle my fancy, but Bath and Body Works, if you find a good seller in the UK has a broad range of scent that will take you through the seasons.

From lacy, cosy feeling fabric to blush pink hues, I get pleasure from finding wardrobe gems on the high street. From these ASOS Embroidered Espadrilles to this Pleated Animal Print Midi Skirt, Spring is a great season when finding pieces that look high quality, but with a low price. Of course, this line up wouldn't be complete without a mention of PJ'S, they're snuggly and I wear them all year around especially when I'm having a self-care day. This Traditional Cherry Blossom Set are a great option for those who like lightweight PJ's that are still long in length.

I not only like adding a bit of luxury to my wardrobe and makeup, I like to add it to my home too. I've got to admit that I'm smitten with anything agate at the moment and if you follow me on Twitter then you'll know that I've been waiting for my West Elm Bookends to arrive since before Christmas. The green adds a pop of colour to my shelves, whilst the brass rims help to tie in with the rest of my homeware pieces. I've actually got my eye on a few more as I'm planning to expand my book collection, these Oliver Bonas Bookends. I think they would match my agate blush pink coasters I have perfectly!
