Five Recent Favourites

Spring is now upon us; the flowers have blossomed, the sun has been shining for a whole weekend and the layers have started to come off. Taking photographs of the fresh blooms is one of the only times I allow myself to put blue tinted photographs onto my blog and with one of my favourite seasons now fully underway, I thought I'd share with you my five favourites things at the moment.

First up, I thought I'd mention my new rekindled love with Essie nail vanishes. I'm currently smitten with the shades Not Just A Pretty Face, Ladylike and Spin The Bottle as they are all variations of the pink nudes I have come to love at this time of year.

Although I'm preparing myself for April showers and the garden being out of use until Summer, I've been soaking up the sun and using it whenever I can. In the mornings I like to make the most of the garden as I find feeling the sun on my face whilst I'm enjoying my breakfast smoothie (usually frozen mango and banana with an extra smidgen of honey!) is a great way to start the day.

Talking of recipes, I have been trialling out a few new ones as I'm trying to incorporate more fruit and veg into my diet in a variety of ways. During the hotter months, Sunday roast dinners are swapped out for lightweight burgers and I like to opt for salads rather than anything too heavy. My new favourites have been the sweet potato and chickpea burgers which I seem to bang on about regularly and Hannah Gale's recommendation of portobello mushroom, halloumi and crushed avocado with a sprinkling of chilli - Very yummy indeed!

I've really enjoyed getting back into blog reading of late as I had a few months when I wasn't reading them as regularly as I had been. I've been scouring the feeds of many of my favourites and Makeup Savvy, Jodie Melissa, A Girl Obsessed and Makeup Directory are a few of my must reads. If you have any blog recommendations then I'd love to know as I'm always on the look out for some dreamy photo inspiration and content that I just can't help but get lost in.

Lastly, I'm currently lusting after a homeware overhaul as I've been on the look out for some new pieces to spruce up my home this Spring and Summer. From this West Elm Cat Dish to the Brass Wishbone Sculpture, I've currently got a few bits on the way to me and I no doubt will inject more interior posts into my blog in the upcoming months. Here are a few of my top picks for Spring:
