The Hayfever Beauty Survival Kit

Although the Spring months bring the shinning sun and blooming flowers, they also bring red noses, itchy eyes and a bad case of hay fever. I've been trialling new skincare and makeup technique to help reduce redness, clear the skin and inject moisture back into my complexion.

When it comes to skincare, I like to focus on eye cream as eyes are the place I suffer most; my constant rubbing and dryness makes them irritated and sore. The Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment is a yearly must have as it's lightweight, goes from a cream to gel like formula when applied and keeps my peepers feeling great. Another favourite of mine is a new find this year and it's the Caudalie Vine Active Eye Cream* which is perfect for wearing underneath makeup to add hydration to your under eye area without added irritation.

Moisturisers and facial oils are the products I love to pair together to give my skin a fighting chance of battling blemishes and reducing redness. The Aesop Fabulous Facial Oil and Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream are two repurchases of mine as they go on extremely lightly meaning that they sink into the skin nicely and never leaves a residue. I like to concentrate these on my problem areas such as around the nose and across the cheeks.

As for makeup, I use the colour correcting technique to help disguise any redness I have using the LA Girl Green Concealer followed by a high coverage concealer of mine choice. Another way I prevent my makeup from coming off during hay fever season is by setting my makeup with a radiance boosting powder as although I love using dewy products to produce a healthy looking base, the constant nose wiping and eye itching can cause the products to slip away if not finished with a powder.

What products do you swear by when you're suffering with Hayfever?
