I know what you're thinking, "it's not Valentine's Day yet though Lily" and I know I may be jumping ahead, but I just love incorporating red and pink hues into my makeup routine around this time of the year. It makes me feel like I have an excuse to get excited for Spring and I'm all for that, so today I'm sharing my favourite V-day beauty picks with you.

For my base, I'm still in the midst of trying out the Milk Makeup Luminous Blur Stick and although I have mixed feelings on it at the moment, it doesn't make my makeup look bad, so what's the harm in trying new ways to make it work. I tend to concentrate the stick around my t-zone and especially over my cheeks. After my usual long lasting, radiant foundation and concealer routine, I go in with my Hourglass Unlocked Palette which I wish they'd make a permanent addition to their line as I wish everyone would be able to experience it.

For eyes, I have dug out my Urban Decay Cherry Palette* as I can create a range of looks in the run up to Valentine's Day, experimenting with a soft, pink hued look to a more intense smokey eye. On the lips, I think it's safe to say I'll be going for my Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Queen* for a deep red, but I like to keep it neutral on the run with it's co-star Pillow Talk Lipstick*. I like to line my lips using the Buxom Plumpline Lipliner as this lasts a good amount of time on me and makes my lips look fuller in the process.

To finish off this post, I'd like to take a moment to mention the products which make me feel like the dancing emoji whenever I use them. The Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream makes you smell good enough to eat, all whilst smoothing and softening the body at the same time. I then spritz either my Thierry Mugler Alien*, Diptyque Do Son or the Chloe Love Story Perfume* which was kindly sent over my World Duty Free as a Valentine's Day gift.

Lastly, I paint my nails and toe nails, opting for a light pink in the form of OPI Passion Nail Lacquer* which gives off a subtle, yet 'pulled together' feel to the look.
