A May Makeup Bag

Although it's still officially Spring until late June, I actually find myself altering my makeup bag during May to suit the warmer months ahead. Fresh lighter bases and subtle coral hues fill my makeup routine and today I'm sharing with you the contents of my makeup bag.

I have been sporting a dewy makeup base courtesy of the L'Oreal Cushion Foundation and Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue duo, which work together to conceal any blemishes and give a luminous glow to the skin. I can't see myself switching these out anytime soon, but I have been experimenting with highlighters; adding more liquid and cream offerings into my routine.

The Clarins Bronzing and Blush Compact* has made it's way into my makeup bag lately and for a very good reason too. It adds a healthy sun-kissed glow to the skin and looks gorgeous dusted over my temples and cheekbones.

A few weeks back, I mentioned that I've never had much success with cream blushers, but as I was rifling through my collection, I noticed one blusher I haven't worn in a while and decided to rekindle the love. The H&M Dusty Rose Cream Blusher has been a favourite of mine recently as it looks super natural, whilst being easy to work into the skin so I want to use it more during May.

I have been reaching for lighter lipsticks and perkier shades to compliment my dewy makeup and the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments are the perfect pick. They're nourishing, come in an array of shades and I tend to bring them out every Summer.

Another old favourite of mine is the Nars Lodhi Lip Pencil, a coral hue that works well with minimalist makeup and is great on lips that tend to get a little drier in the Summer months.
