It's not often that I do a full blog post dedicated to a range, but the new Molton Brown Suede Orris scent needed one as although this citrus, subtle offering is a hard one to describe, it is no doubt perfect for the upcoming new season.

The product I'm most excited about is one that Molton Brown has never done before and that's a Hair Mist*. They've got a Eau De Toilette too which I'm already eyeing up as I think it's lovely to have the option to layer up all the different products. I've never tried a hair mist before but I've heard it's better for your locks than spritzing in your usual daily perfume - plus who doesn't love swishing their hair around for an excuse to smell your perfume. It's long lasting which I was surprised about and the scent lingers just the right amount so that it's not overpowering nor too faint to make a difference. It's great for if you want to refresh your locks between washing or you just want another scent to layer.

I've actually already had a miniature version of the Suede Orris Bath and Shower Gel* which I used up pretty quickly, so having the 300ml full sized one is a treat! It's a hard scent to describe but it's familiar powdery floral scent of tuscan orris mixed with the refreshing citrus mandarin and patchouli base notes. It sits subtly on the skin, which may make it a fragrance that won't appeal to those who prefer something a little stronger. It does linger on the skin, but as the shower gel just gently cleanses the skin, it isn't enough to interfere with any perfume you layer it up with.

It takes a lot for me to use a body lotion, but when I enjoy one, I tend to use it super quickly and until there's absolutely nothing left. I've used Molton Brown body lotions before and really enjoyed them, so I was excited to see how the Suede Orris offering* would suffice. It's dreamy scent definitely entices me in, but if I'm honest at the moment I'm currently not reaching for it. I think I struggle with how thick and luxurious it feels as I find that I don't have the patience to wait for it to sink in.

Have you tried the new Molton Brown Suede Orris range?
