How To Revive Tired Looking Eyes

Aside from my lacklustre skin, my eyes are the main giveaway when I am feeling tired and under the weather. With moving house, late nights and a few stressful days here and there, my complexion has taken a kicking. Today I am sharing with you a handful of my top tips to revive, brighten and camouflage a dull looking eye area.

During the hotter seasons I suffer from hayfever which causes my eyes to itch and crack, whilst during the colder months, my eyes tend to water more causing dryness. Although not everyone is a fan of eye drops, when my eyes are feeling super sensitive or I need a quick pick me up, I do reach for the Optrex Eye Drops every now and again.

To help conceal dark circles and hydrate parched skin, it all begins with skincare and for me, I can't live without my Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment which nourishes, soothes and helps to heal my eye area. If this Kiehl's offering is too thick for you, then using a lightweight serum will make it easier for makeup application and will allow your eye area to absorb all the dreamy ingredients - I have been loving using the Avene Hydrance Optimale Serum*

The best way to brighten your eyes is by using a lighter concealer that diminishes dark circles, illuminates and doesn't crease instantly. The NYX HD Concealer is the best bet for a budget option and is one that I buy time and time again. My number one top tip would be to avoid using any highlighting powders underneath your eyes as this can make dark circles worse, however I would recommend using a brightening eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eyes to make your eyes appear bigger and more doe eyed. The Nars Rigel Eyeshadow is my go-to at the moment as it suits my complexion perfectly and I like to pair this with a nude liner along my waterline to really make my eyes pop.

What do you do to revive your tired looking eyes?
