10 Things To Do In The Run Up To Halloween

Halloween To Do List

If there's anything this year has taught me it's to appreciate the little things a little more and for me, Halloween is full of those moments! Throughout the run up to Halloween this week, I've added some activities to my to-do list to get me into the spooky mood. Here are some of the ideas to inspire you:

Get Decorating | I've already decorated my house with hanging witches hats, spiderweb garlands and scattered my Halloween cushions throughout my living room. I feel like now is the perfect time to create a cosy area for you to watch spooky films and snack on Halloween treats in the evenings. Fairy lights, a comfy blanket and candles are all great options!

Head To A Pumpkin Patch | If you've got a local pumpkin patch then I'd always recommend heading there for the afternoon. It's a great day out and also helps local businesses - plus you get to come home with one (or five!) pumpkins for Halloween.

Bake Some Spooky Treats | I've been baking all Autumn, but Halloween is a great time to turn your baking into spooky treats. Mummy sausages rolls, spiderweb brownies and an orange and black marble loaf cake are all on my list to delve into this week.

Experiment With Makeup | Even if you're not heading out, now is the perfect time to experiment with your makeup. Whether it's trying out a deep red lipstick or going all out and trying out a skeleton look - Halloween is always a great excuse to try something new.

Watch Scary Films | ...or not so scary films at all! Challenge yourself to watch a classic horror  film every night throughout the week or opt for Disney picks if you don't want to spook yourself too much.

Here are some other ideas:

- Carve your pumpkins into funny and creative faces!
- Go on a walk to look out for Halloween decorations.
- Read a spooky book.
- Roast your pumpkin seeds.
- Make your own pom pom Halloween garland.
