Budget Beauty Favourites

This post was originally going to be titled "Four Budget Favourites", but after compiling a list of all the products I wanted to mention, I noticed I wasn't going to have only four top picks.

I bought the VO5 Instant Volume Powder on a whim a few days before New Year's Eve and I'm so glad I did because I've been using it non-stop. I originally wanted it to add volume to my usually limp, lifeless hair and it's done that job and more. If you're like me and you hate freshly washed hair when you've got to style it, then you'll love this as it adds a grip and texture; however you can simply brush it out at the end of the day and you aren't left needing to wash your hair every day.

For a foundation the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation is pretty affordable and, as a long serving favourite of mine, I can almost say that this is one of my go-to high street bases, with the L'Oreal Cushion Foundation being tied for first place. It offers a medium coverage that's both build able and natural looking whilst lightweight in formula too.

The Maybelline Tattoo Brow Tint just had to be featured in this line up as I'm obsessed with this stuff. It's not that affordable considering it's from the high street, but you get so many uses out of it, so in my opinion it's worth it. I simply apply it using an angled brush, leave on for thirty minutes and then peel off. It means I don't have to excessively fill in my brows for a few days and instead can just brush through a brow gel for a quick look.

If you've been reading my blog for a while, then you'll know that NYX is one of my all time favourite budget brands. I could go on about them for ages, but I've recently rekindled my love for the Wonder Pencil, a nude eyeliner that helps to brighten my eyes and make them look bigger. The Ombre Mauve Me Blusher and Cool Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette* are two of my other favourites.

From the get-go I liked The Ordinary's Caffeine Solution*, but I didn't necessarily love it. It did the job at making my eye area look smoother, brighter and more hydrated, but I didn't fall head over heels. That was until it got colder in the Autumn and since then I haven't gone a day without this. It's perfect as it's lightweight, easy to apply and keeps those pesky under-eye dry patches at bay.

When Bilou delivered me a bunch of their body products, I knew I was set for a while and the Shower Foams have become a firm favourite in my household. They come in an array of scents that linger on the skin without being too overpowering and they're so good for shaving too!

What are your current budget favourites?
