The Makeup That Makes Me Feel Nostalgic

I've been using and loving makeup far longer than I have been blogging about it, so I've got a fair few products that whenever I use or see them in my collection, they make me feel nostalgic.

I was recently reunited with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray* and it brought back all the old memories of starting this blog. Back before this blog was born, I had oily skin that wouldn't hold any base makeup for longer than a couple of hours, so this setting spray was a real revolution for me and one that has remained a firm favourite ever since.

The Nars Sheer Glow was once the most talked about foundation, everyone seemed to love and own it, so I knew that I would give in. Although I loved it several years ago, my change in skin type means that it's no longer suitable and looking back, it probably wasn't one of my most thought out purchases.

MAC used to be the go-to brand and it brings back so many memories. From going into the Brighton store to buy my first product (I got the MSF mixed up with one of their powder foundations!) to slowly building up a collection of their lipsticks including a few very bad limited edition decisions along the way, MAC has always been a nostalgic brand for me.

The Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks, particularly Pink In The Afternoon, were once a very coveted lipstick. Their formulas and colours still remain one of my favourites on the high street, but I don't reach for them too often anymore as my collection has grown. Who else remembers the Colourbust Lip Butters too? I'm not even sure they sell them anymore.

Another high street favourite of mine is the Sleek Face Form Palette; a contour, highlight and blusher offering that has been around for some time now. This is super nostalgic for me as it was the first product I reviewed on my blog - I always feel like I have to have something from Sleek in my collection now.
