15 Films To Watch This Christmas

Christmas Films To Watch

There's nothing quite like settling down on a frosty evening with a hot chocolate in hand to watch a Christmas film. I'm all about those festive film marathons, but if you're struggling to narrow down your next watch, then hopefully this blog post helps you out!

The Holiday | I've added this to my must watch Christmas list for several years now. The cutest cottage that features in the film gives me all the cosy feels and I just love the storyline despite it being super cheesy! It's a proper good pick if you're looking to snuggle up and watch something on a Sunday evening.

Arthur Christmas | Arthur Christmas often doesn't make it high up on anyone's favourite Christmas film list, but personally I adore it! I think it's so charming and as it's family friendly everyone can watch it. It's a simple storyline, but will all the heartwarming touches!

Home Alone | Everything I watch both Home Alone and Home Alone 2 it gives me all the nostalgic feelings. I just love how it's always entertaining despite watching it year upon year. It's definitely a tradition for me to watch them both over the Christmas period. I personally find them great as a Christmas eve watch!

15 Things To Do This Christmas

Things To Do This Christmas

December 1st has been and gone, which can only mean one thing - the Christmas countdown is on! Personally, I prefer the lead up to Christmas over the actual day, so I've decided to spread some festive joy today by sharing all the things I want to do on the run up to the 25th.

Have A Festive Film Marathon | I feel like I've been in the festive mood for some time now, but I'm yet to make a dent in my Christmas film list. Last year, I lacked quite a bit with films I wanted to tick off, but this year I've got snacks and blankets at the ready. Home Alone and Elf are yearly must watches, but I'm looking to watch the more quirkier ones too.

Go For A Frosty Morning Walk | It feels like Autumn transitioned into Winter overnight, but that can only mean the arrival of misty mornings. I absolutely love going for walks throughout all the seasons, but there's just some extra effort needed to get myself out of bed in the morning in the warm. Once wrapped up warm, I find walking in the morning is a great way to spend some quiet time to yourself and appreciate how magical and still that time in the day feels.

Get Creative | Something that immediately puts me in the festive mood is getting creative. I love the little DIY's I've found on Pinterest like this Gnome DIY Garland and Simple Dried Orange Garland too. Getting crafty on a chilly weekend is a great way to spend the weekend!

Bake Some Christmas Treats | It feels like a tradition now to make sure December is full of festive bakes. Last year felt like it was hard to beat, but I want to push myself this year by doing some baking I've shied away from like the classic yule log - watch this space!

Decorate The House | I've had my tree up for a couple weeks now and I've slowly decorated throughout my house too, but I've still got some lights to put up to get my house to feel extra cosy. Decorating the house early has meant I've had longer to appreciate it, but I've also noticed some sparse areas that need filling.

  • Donate to your local food bank.
  • Look at your local Christmas lights.
  • Read a Christmas book.
  • Put together a Christmas playlist.
  • Make your own mulled wine.
  • Visit a Christmas tree farm.
  • Wrap up your presents.
  • Go To A Christmas market for lots of food.
  • Get yourself some mistletoe to hang up!
  • Have a games night with friends.
