Highlighters That Make You Look Like A Freshly Glazed Doughnut

Highlighters have been a big part of my makeup routine for some time now, but with so many on the market it can be hard to figure out which one to go for. I didn't know what to call this post originally, but went for the first thing that sprung to mind.

First up is the creme de la creme; the Sleek Solstice Palette, a much loved and talked about palette. All four shades are dreamy, but it's the bottom two that are my most used as they add a vibrant sheen to wherever they are applied and can be built up to an intense glow.

The Becca Rose Quartz Light Chaser* is the newest addition to my collection and is unlike anything else I own. It's the prettiest highlighter I have and although intense due to it's unique shift, if applied lightly it can look really natural on the skin.

Next is the Illamasqua OMG Beyond Powder, a stunning highlighter that can look sheer if applied with a light hand, but if built up or used wet, it can create a blinding finish. There's something about that it that reminds me of The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer, another long time favourite of mine which is one of, if not my most used highlighter ever. It's honey hued, long lasting on the skin and compliments my skin tone beautifully.

I've got to admit that I probably don't use the Becca Champagne Pop as much as I should do, but I have found a new use for it that will get me to wear it more. When paired with another highlighter like the other Rose Quartz or Prosecco Pop it can look gorgeous on the cheekbones and it intensifies any product it is applied over.

What are your favourite intense highlighters?
