Now that it's officially Spring, I have been repurchasing old favourites and lusting after new releases. Dewy bases and perky pink blushers are just some of the products I bring out during this time and I thought I'd do a post about the five items of makeup I will be taking into Spring with me.
I've been smitten with the Nars Radiance Primer these past couple of weeks and when my lacklustre skin needs perking up this is the one product I reach for. It helps to create a smooth base and with skin loving ingredients, it promises to deliver benefits when you use it long term too. I personally love using this on the high points of my face before applying the L'Oreal Nude Magique Foundation with a damp beauty blender.
This foundation helps to disguise blemishes and smooth over blemishes whilst remaining lightweight, build able and perfect for a dehydrated complexion. Since my skin has been suffering with the change of season, I picked this up to ensure that I had a base to wear and now I haven't put it down - A Spring must have for me.
When it comes to dewy, Spring makeup, I usually opt for a shimmer finish on a blush because it blends in better with my lightweight foundation and liquid highlighter. Saying this, I can't get enough of the Milani Rose Blusher, a matte pink shade that I lightly brush on my cheeks to give me a healthy colour - Perfect for if your skin is looking a little lacklustre during the transitional period.
I can safely say that after trialling the Jouer Long Wear Crème Liquid Lipsticks*, they have become some of my favourites. They are reminiscent of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in both texture and smell, but they dry down to be a little more matte and long wearing. Dulce De Leche, a nude pink hue is gorgeous for the Springtime and I will be wearing it all season long.
Lastly, when I don't want to opt for a liquid lipstick, the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick is still my go-to. It's pink, which seems to be a developing trend amongst my Spring makeup and the nourishing formula makes it super comfortable to wear and apply when I'm having a lazy makeup day.
What makeup are you taking into Spring?
