As I get older, birthday's become less about the presents you receive and more about the excuses you have to treat yourself. I turn 20 on October 5th, so I thought I would go scouring the internet for dreamy pink picks and golden details.
First up is birthday dresses, and this year I thought I would look for one that I could re-wear over the festive period too. This ASOS Ombre Pleated Midi Dress is simply beautiful and although it looks like it would be suited more for a Spring or Summer wedding, I can't help but be drawn back to it every time I scroll through my saved items page. Another option would be this ASOS Velvet Wrap Dress which looks like it will be flattering on my figure and is perfect for Christmas too!
Blush pink looks like it is making a comeback in my wardrobe for Autumn, so I thought I would get some pieces in now. This QED London Drop Hem Blouse would look perfect paired with a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and some gold jewellery. On the brighter scale of pink, this Lazy Oaf Boyfriend Shirt with heart detailing is super cute and although it may not be the most Autumn-esque dress, it does look like it would go well with a blush pink bomber jacket and boots for a great transitional wardrobe pick.
Halloween is coming up in my birthday month, which usually means I end up spending a little bit of my birthday money on some witch, pumpkin or cat inspired pieces. These ASOS Lexa Pointed Ballet Flats have little cat whisker detailing on them, which makes them look delicate, but they're not too overpowering which means I can wear them throughout Autumn too.
In terms of homeware, I have my eye on a few new items for my potential new home. These Anthropologie Petal Palette Mugs look gorgeous and I can definitely see myself filling them up with hot chocolate and marshmallows once the weather starts getting colder. Another item I have been lusting after is this Silvered Geode Coaster, a completely unnecessary purchase, but I can't seem to resist the beautiful stone and gold contact detailing.
I've had lots of makeup on my wishlist for some time now, so what better time to treat yourself than your birthday. Aside from the new Lush Christmas and Halloween pieces that I have been eyeing up, I have been lusting after a few new makeup products for the new season.
This Nars Intensity Dual Intensity Blush Palette has four gorgeous hues that look like they would add a dreamy flush of colour to my cheeks and the formula of this quad is extremely pigmented and easy to blend. After wearing Copenhagen since the start of September in preparation for Autumn, I have been lusting after a few other shades from the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream collection, Madrid, a dark red lip being at the top of the list.
Kat Von D has finally made it to the UK and just in time for my birthday too - I am already thinking of picking up some of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and the Tattooed Liner to curb my impulse to buy everything from the range.
Have you been lusting after anything lately?
