Date Night Makeup.

Although date nights usually consist of snuggling up on the sofa and eating our own body weight's in chocolate, when we decide to go out to the cinema or for a meal I like to make an effort. Today I have put together a few products that I use whenever I go on a date night with my boyfriend.

F A C E | When choosing a base product, I like to opt for a fail safe foundation that is both long lasting and dewy. At the moment the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation ticks all the right boxes as it has a lightweight formula, but it still perfects the skin and conceals any imperfections. To follow, I always gravitate towards a strong contour and highlight to add an extra dose of glow to my skin. The Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder and theBalm Mary Lou Manizer are two products that work perfectly together to sculpt and define the cheekbones. To finish, I have been reaching for the H&M Cream Blusher - Dusty Rose as the cream to powder formula can be built up and blended out to create a natural flush of colour.

E Y E S | On my eyes, no one does evening eye make up better than Charlotte Tilbury and the Dolce Vita Palette is the crème de la crème. This quad has four shades that work perfectly together to create a soft, smoky eye. Prime, a champagne shade can be used all over the lid or as a highlighter under your brows. Enhance is hands down my favourite shade as the golden burgundy hue looks perfect as a wash of colour to then be defined by Smoke, a soft brown which looks amazing through the crease. After lashings of my chosen mascara, I pop on a pair of lashes either in the form of Eylure or these Threads Celestial Lashes* to enhance and add volume.

L I P S | Although I would naturally reach for a statement lip for a night out, no one wants lip stick stains all over their clothes on a date night Therefore I usually opt for a nude or pink lip. For a long lasting hue, the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - Milan sits comfortably on the lips, but still doesn't budge meaning you won't need to make endless trips to the bathroom to top up.

N A I L S | For my nails, I have been cracking out the glitter polishes bright and early this year. Essie's Tassel Shaker, a copper glitter that makes any nail colour look luxe, but I particularly like it over the top of Essie Fifth Avenue to create a strong look, that if I dare say it, does look a bit festive.

What are your go-to date night products?
