Blogging Goals 2015

*Enter generic notepad photograph*. As 2014 has officially come to an end and everybody is getting back into the swing of blogging, I thought it was about time that I sat down and made a list of my blogging goals for 2015. I never had any intention of writing one of these, but after reading blog post after blog post I thought that it would be most effective to write down my blogging goals for 2015 in a post like format, rather than nodding away at valid points and goals and then forgetting them five seconds later.

Get organised | Organisation has never really been my forte and instead last minute rushes are usually what my days consist of. When I chose to start posting regularly back in November, I knew that I had to get my organisation act together. Even though I'm much better post-November, I definitely have a long way to go. I need to start scheduling posts for a couple days in advance and taking photographs in bulk. This will not only make my life 100% easier, but it will also mean I won't have the pressure to write a blog post in a short amount of time meaning that it will lack in quality.

Get to 500 | I have always had the belief that you should let your blog grow naturally and organically, whilst not letting figures get in the way of what you love doing. However, I always think it's nice to have a goal to aim for, this goal being that I want to get to 500 followers by the end of 2015.

Improve photography | This seems to be a goal that the majority of bloggers want to achieve, but for me this goal goes way further than just in my blog. I am planning to study photography at University in September and even though I am content with what I am currently producing, I always believe I can better my photography. A- Level work put aside, I would like to improve on my photography within my blog posts because I am a firm believer that photographs attract more readers.

Post more fashion | Since I started blogging two months, my blog has predominately been focused on beauty with only a dash of fashion and lifestyle. However, I am currently in the process of teaching my boyfriend on how to take fashion posts, so that I can post more outfits and different styles onto my blog.

Quality over quantity | For the past couple of months, since I have been taking blogging seriously, I have put a large amount of pressure on myself to churn out blog posts thinking that it will increase traffic. Quickly, I found out that this is the best way to loose motivation and direction, so I snapped out of "zombie writing" and instead focused on only writing blog posts that I would read myself. Nevertheless, in 2015 I will be very much about producing good quality posts, rather than posting daily just for the sake of it.

What are your blogging goals for 2015?

  1. I completely agree with hitting follower targets, mine this year is to hit 1K on at least one of my blogging accounts; wither that's instagram, bloglovin', twitter etc.

  10. Oh the generic notebook photograph that we all love! I wouldn't have made goals if it wasn't for reading tons of blog posts about them either. Nothing wrong with having a follower goal! It's how we tell whether we're doing something that people like haha. I've just followed you anyway!

  12. Post quality and not quantity is such an important one. I would rather see fewer posts with a lot of good content then a ton with little effort. I look forward to seeing all you have planned for 2015! Best of luck with everything and good post :)
