I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to lighter evenings, warmer days and seeing lots of flowers bloom. I've started to switch out my home decor and if like me, you're someone who loves the resurgence of the "cottagecore" trend each year, I've got just the post you need if you're looking for some new pieces to add your space. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I recently picked up this <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+YQio6CBEx0K-3EZD3aqFdg" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Dunelm Green Gingham Duvet Set</span></a></b> which is perfect for my Spring bedroom set up. It's a great way to brighten up the bedroom especially when paired with pink and yellow cushions. It looks more expensive than it was (£36 for a double!) and they have a <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+XbZpoSfydawLyWBLbrrC9A" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">yellow version</span></a></b> which I'm very tempted to treat myself too. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Talking of the colour green, I've been rather obsessed with adding green tones throughout my home after purchasing a velvet green sofa for the living room. I picked out this <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+-Bt3wHqUai7j8XP1uAAe2Q" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">William Morris Inspired Print</span></a></b> which pulls all the green hues together perfectly. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I love the idea of "dopamine decor" and buying pieces for the home that brings you joy on a daily basis. Not only have I aimed to grow my hair longer, but I also vowed to make it healthier in the process. I've found a haircare routine that works for me and I now take better care of my hair when styling, trying to minimise heat and prolong hair styles. If you'd like to know the process I've been going through, then please read on. </span></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">DYSON AIRWRAP</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+FRXpJYKKVAoPngVrxFdbJg" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Dyson Airwrap</span></a></b> was on my wishlist for some time and back in October 2022, I decided after much thought and research that I was going to treat myself for my birthday. I tried it out in several places before committing and immediately loved the way it styled my hair. Previously I was air drying my hair, but after some scalp issues and finding that it was causing more hair breakage than anything else, I decided I wanted to try out using a hair dryer to solve these issues. Then the hair curler that I had been using broke, which was convenient timing, so this is how I justified making an investment in my Dyson Airwrap - but was it worth it? </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Whilst I've tried out every attachment that comes with the Dyson Airwrap, I've definitely got my favourites. The 30mm and 40mm long barrel attachments are ones I use every time, the latter being my most used when I want a big bouncy blow out look. The round volumising brush was the one attachment I didn't think I'd get any use out of as I had the long barrels, but after some experimenting I really enjoyed using this when I wanted a more relaxed curl look and for when I'm in more of a rush. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">After being someone who used extreme heat on my hair for years, it's been strange being able to touch the barrel when curling my hair. Whilst it's definitely on the hotter side, the temperature can be changed on three settings depending on your preference. For me, this is what I think has caused such a change in the health of my hair over the last 18 months. With regular trims, my hair has only grown a couple of inches, but my hair now is a similar thickness throughout rather than it thinning at the ends. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Longevity of the curl was definitely something I was concerned about as I had heard that they can fall out, but this is an issue I have never hard. I sometimes use rollers to add even more volume at the root and if I want the curls to stay looking perfect for the following day. This means that I am no longer using heat on my hair on daily basis which has resulted in my hair feeling and looking much healthier, but without having to give up my usual and preferred hair style. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnMJwMyDxLT8kL0sSPO2HbZTVPVMhV3JdJK0Kk60AMNMg86VVEsReyyUsG0rnFoF_3FluFu7wiBE4ajaaCCm60U-W_B4T6euU0Vo-7MpKbTo4lyEvbS64_ahd2LfT6x1tWHMVs1WPwIsl6iRKNyfm7cqJM-ufEcUqm-fodQMOBwgdv92BFPCoqOBhmlxi9/s4032/Dyson%20Airwrap%20Review.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Dyson Airwrap Review" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnMJwMyDxLT8kL0sSPO2HbZTVPVMhV3JdJK0Kk60AMNMg86VVEsReyyUsG0rnFoF_3FluFu7wiBE4ajaaCCm60U-W_B4T6euU0Vo-7MpKbTo4lyEvbS64_ahd2LfT6x1tWHMVs1WPwIsl6iRKNyfm7cqJM-ufEcUqm-fodQMOBwgdv92BFPCoqOBhmlxi9/s16000/Dyson%20Airwrap%20Review.JPG" title="Dyson Airwrap Review" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAe1elUnJ1-pYJl9RceIFWdx0V4K7rVF51v_LtG6sbpOz5f8OfIqN6dxGroXb3EZLzSM7FPODk7p0G_H8tjTWozuhm2K0XyaGyKOHV-62bOzl2WFsSgmUOurgzsh5-jo00e41jDR4FvkNL6nBENq8SgMGfUqnSRjJNtDEqfR5OV64VxrXwhENYbJ3xrGLJ/s4032/Redken%20Extreme%20Hair%20Shampoo%20and%20Conditioner.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Redken Extreme Length Review" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAe1elUnJ1-pYJl9RceIFWdx0V4K7rVF51v_LtG6sbpOz5f8OfIqN6dxGroXb3EZLzSM7FPODk7p0G_H8tjTWozuhm2K0XyaGyKOHV-62bOzl2WFsSgmUOurgzsh5-jo00e41jDR4FvkNL6nBENq8SgMGfUqnSRjJNtDEqfR5OV64VxrXwhENYbJ3xrGLJ/s16000/Redken%20Extreme%20Hair%20Shampoo%20and%20Conditioner.JPG" title="Redken Extreme Length Review" /></a></div><p></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">HAIR CARE PRODUCTS</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I've gone through many bottles of different Redken shampoo and conditioners over the last 18 months and have established my favourites. The <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+CbC9aSVDnr097bB58TKvcg" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Redken Acidic Bonding Duo</span></a></b> was a great starter when I wanted to get my damaged, lacklustre hair looking and feeling healthy again. I will definitely circle back around to using this duo again soon as I think it'd be interesting to see how this pairing will help my hair again now that's it's much healthier than when I started. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I recently started using the <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+JcSo5gu3jSasUB049mky3A" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Redken Extreme Length Shampoo and Conditioner Duo</span></a></b> and immediately was impressed by how clean, soft and smooth it made my hair feel. As someone who shreds a lot of hair every time I wash it, I have noticed the biggest change since using this pairing. I use it alongside a leave in conditioner in the same haircare line and I honestly think this is what has kick started my hair growth again. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">As a lover of multi-use products that promise to protect your hair from heat as well as smooth, add shine and detangle, these type of products usually came with a higher price tag, which I realised was stopping me from using more of the product and thus meaning my hair wasn't always protected from heat damage as well as I would of liked. I set out on a mission to find the best, but reasonably priced heat protectant and I have done just that. The <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+VN2b18EFoTbF7dN7HjQXtQ" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Schwarzkopf Keratin Heat Protect Spray</span></a></b> is by far the best I've tried and as it's under £5, I never feel bad dousing my hair in it before using heat. It never leaves my hair feeling crispy and once I style my hair, I've never once experienced any excess grease residue or heaviness from using it - 10/10 would recommend. </span></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">HAIR OILS</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">During my haircare journey, I researched a lot about hair oils and the best one's to use and after thoroughly trying them out, I can tell you my thoughts. Rosemary oil was top of the recommended oils and I knew I had to try it out myself. I wasn't expecting much and although I haven't grown inches of hair yet, I noticed after a few months use that the hair around my face was a lot thicker and I was getting growth in areas where it was usually rather thin. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Of course when using rosemary oil, you also need to use a carrier oil. Caster oil was recommend to me, but I found it did more harm than good to my delicate hair as it felt too thick (even when mixed with other oils) and was hard to get out of my hair. I then tried out jojoba oil and got much better results. I love that I could use it when oiling my hair, but also as a way to smooth my ends day-to-day. I've now settled with using argan oil again, which is an old favourite and I love how it makes my hair feel soft. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">After reading up about <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+gwLbI9kXjGZMeSGV5XbQbg" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Scalp Massagers</span></a></b> being beneficial for hair growth, I decided to take the plunge and order one. Whilst, I don't believe one product is a miracle worker, when this is used in conjunction with my shampoo routine I feel like my scalp feels cleaner and when use it with my hair oiling routine, I found that it helps to get the oil massaged deeper into my scalp. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Have you tried the Dyson Airwrap? What haircare products would you recommend for hair growth?</span></p>

With big beautiful trees and lots of amazing themes to marvel at; visiting a stately home at Christmas is fast becoming a yearly tradition of mine. Here are four of the latest homes I've visited that I would recommend. </span></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Haddon Hall</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I visited Haddon Hall* back in the Summer for its roses and was astounded by how beautiful the medieval Manor House was. Dating back to the 11th century, Haddon Hall is already shrouded in history with its grand Tudor hall and Elizabethan gardens. I was so happy to be back in this building for it's Christmas event this year, where they've decked the atmospheric main hall with a beautiful Christmas tree and roaring fire - you really feel like you've stepped back in history. As you wonder through the building, there's lots of other displays to look at. I would say Haddon Hall is the most 'low key' Christmas event of the bunch, but they often run Christmas markets throughout the start of December if you're looking for the full experience.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikAZrekLYtvYcyw4Qz_omRNpkQ6x3UIqNm8HOv2pKVCbFQGdtg3OVLVKl063y0UwT_A__f8BspKXyk4faqOJOj5YheHNxZcqaJeS-tQVfF9NogkQ2Tj-4S13lJ1qV7Lot4GMNpYDmO8uPoWe18N2SS-lPNP_SCmHDzogjJTNqQO_qk7YZQm6EdXWpzB5ao/s4032/Blenheim%20Palace%20Christmas.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Blenheim Palace Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikAZrekLYtvYcyw4Qz_omRNpkQ6x3UIqNm8HOv2pKVCbFQGdtg3OVLVKl063y0UwT_A__f8BspKXyk4faqOJOj5YheHNxZcqaJeS-tQVfF9NogkQ2Tj-4S13lJ1qV7Lot4GMNpYDmO8uPoWe18N2SS-lPNP_SCmHDzogjJTNqQO_qk7YZQm6EdXWpzB5ao/s16000/Blenheim%20Palace%20Christmas.JPG" title="Blenheim Palace Christmas" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFeLYUN5fcEfTalgkjAqHbMJ6wcrOm4OGPiKzJUyLvLNOKyUy95_pivXjHddAQs212LYv8xgi-cW8BXHd5JfZlEPOtN2z2S74GV3VvVIi3PgkQjvW3dZIYklHFXrZl5vFf4T1nOtAA-uSEhpTblPyP8UEFVQyF69u9V8-utKU6Gy7pjxfPksWmtUYFkji9/s4032/Stately%20Homes%20Christmas%20UK.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Blenheim Palace Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFeLYUN5fcEfTalgkjAqHbMJ6wcrOm4OGPiKzJUyLvLNOKyUy95_pivXjHddAQs212LYv8xgi-cW8BXHd5JfZlEPOtN2z2S74GV3VvVIi3PgkQjvW3dZIYklHFXrZl5vFf4T1nOtAA-uSEhpTblPyP8UEFVQyF69u9V8-utKU6Gy7pjxfPksWmtUYFkji9/s16000/Stately%20Homes%20Christmas%20UK.JPG" title="Blenheim Palace Christmas" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_f0Xz-k1kxTJgaQqYFEWU8i7_m-fk8Q-7zmimoeXksT6LBWgqofuPrL2esXHsqH7VFbPcrSauwec-76cPkyfrKC1GIZP1KjYfVV2jB3Q_E0_ThBSbYUXVOz0ALwafZQY4FqliRSs_PmBzoxRg6fy230tOAAyBjqeUHh6DaQmG31yEYhZUtFCWNSe-Ul2N/s4032/Blenheim%20Palace%20at%20Christmas%20.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Blenheim Palace Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_f0Xz-k1kxTJgaQqYFEWU8i7_m-fk8Q-7zmimoeXksT6LBWgqofuPrL2esXHsqH7VFbPcrSauwec-76cPkyfrKC1GIZP1KjYfVV2jB3Q_E0_ThBSbYUXVOz0ALwafZQY4FqliRSs_PmBzoxRg6fy230tOAAyBjqeUHh6DaQmG31yEYhZUtFCWNSe-Ul2N/s16000/Blenheim%20Palace%20at%20Christmas%20.JPG" title="Blenheim Palace Christmas" /></a></div><h4><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Blenheim Palace </span></h4><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">This year was the first time I've ever been to Blenheim Palace* and after visiting for Christmas, I can't wait to go back to explore the gardens in the Spring. In 2023, they had a theme of "Sleeping Beauty" for their Christmas display. Greeted at the door with a glorious Christmas tree reaching the painted ceiling of the great hall, you meander through the various palace rooms that tell you a story as you go. The interior of Blenheim Palace is beautiful on it's own, but with the added magical elements of twinkling lights and soft golden hues, it just becomes a true feast for the eyes. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQDdtTVNAC9f09_Qdmeo7IH52pPyT7PzceRjVi221_22ysQ3CPh-x-RFUC8EHpLZNbRZ60rRMAfXBzh1u2nIddGN-_OJezudO-4xcHFev5VwigAX82pJT6hMjcVcHzfLtMZgQRC054ZkySNWJpDa8GTsltWC5Ww_33vIBUL-3kC10cceqUquqP93aMuWZ-/s4014/Chatsworth%20House%20Peak%20District%20Christmas.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Chatsworth House Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4014" data-original-width="2965" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQDdtTVNAC9f09_Qdmeo7IH52pPyT7PzceRjVi221_22ysQ3CPh-x-RFUC8EHpLZNbRZ60rRMAfXBzh1u2nIddGN-_OJezudO-4xcHFev5VwigAX82pJT6hMjcVcHzfLtMZgQRC054ZkySNWJpDa8GTsltWC5Ww_33vIBUL-3kC10cceqUquqP93aMuWZ-/s16000/Chatsworth%20House%20Peak%20District%20Christmas.JPG" title="Chatsworth House Christmas" /></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJJxlYJpt3AA-rIC_5XoxWWpSBmT_XN58R2bPsciq9bl7OYnprQ25tHpHCI9Gf1d41lngZImeAOvwxhx-RyNQvgjDbmOKeELXr5bKwn1B7JTmVUm4QTuA_aobLLA3dQwF66fyYfka0ulqctY1VVBafR_m4922C_VS1uAsEa0K1quB-6RxfFjJ8qKGg-zy_/s4032/Chatsworth%20House%20Derbyshire%20Christmas.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Chatsworth House Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJJxlYJpt3AA-rIC_5XoxWWpSBmT_XN58R2bPsciq9bl7OYnprQ25tHpHCI9Gf1d41lngZImeAOvwxhx-RyNQvgjDbmOKeELXr5bKwn1B7JTmVUm4QTuA_aobLLA3dQwF66fyYfka0ulqctY1VVBafR_m4922C_VS1uAsEa0K1quB-6RxfFjJ8qKGg-zy_/s16000/Chatsworth%20House%20Derbyshire%20Christmas.JPG" title="Chatsworth House Christmas" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKIUgbXLyUFAYNKrDIvFZQ2JRd9Hb74fhCKCpsiuLrmqFIFsUAGnK5BT52J9vqml8_fnuPxSkq3u2Ed4Ddux1YVLF6sWsfi8M-VP8mmeamCMDnGGLygpwyPLDKoa3VJIzgCRFpAXuQGYOr4b4lbq7DF6j8ZzsAYTdyMxLyFDOo6-kaqeHN4HWuawGUFhDG/s4032/Peak%20District%20Chatsworth%20House%20Christmas.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Chatsworth House Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKIUgbXLyUFAYNKrDIvFZQ2JRd9Hb74fhCKCpsiuLrmqFIFsUAGnK5BT52J9vqml8_fnuPxSkq3u2Ed4Ddux1YVLF6sWsfi8M-VP8mmeamCMDnGGLygpwyPLDKoa3VJIzgCRFpAXuQGYOr4b4lbq7DF6j8ZzsAYTdyMxLyFDOo6-kaqeHN4HWuawGUFhDG/s16000/Peak%20District%20Chatsworth%20House%20Christmas.JPG" title="Chatsworth House Christmas" /></a></div><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Chatsworth House</span></h4></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Chatsworth House is the place that made me fall in love with visiting stately homes at Christmas time. I've already got a love for Chatsworth House as it was the setting for Pemberly in Pride and Prejudice, but it was visiting at Christmas that really cemented it in my favourites list. The entrance hall with a grand staircase is beautiful enough as it is, but as you wind your way up the stairs you'll find the Christmas tree perched at the top. It's accompanied by the most marvellous painted ceiling you'll ever see and the whole experience from first room til last is a day trip you'll never forget. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheVF5bdHAEonzv4wIU4EsluRNKL5ysARvU_W_pb-EDtW1MikyEhq78gSNItN-fR1f8uwAwKF4o7dA6O5INSDWI_q8cP2d-ssPR0Plwb21pRksGZ7wg6qR5_c_fD_kDqd8KfR5-mAd0En6pRVkP49DhT7yV7vY4iv8IkCiyr0Z6tB7oVD1nQ-LkqeM_Uu9O/s4032/Waddesdon%20Manor%20Christmas.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Waddesdon Manor Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheVF5bdHAEonzv4wIU4EsluRNKL5ysARvU_W_pb-EDtW1MikyEhq78gSNItN-fR1f8uwAwKF4o7dA6O5INSDWI_q8cP2d-ssPR0Plwb21pRksGZ7wg6qR5_c_fD_kDqd8KfR5-mAd0En6pRVkP49DhT7yV7vY4iv8IkCiyr0Z6tB7oVD1nQ-LkqeM_Uu9O/s16000/Waddesdon%20Manor%20Christmas.JPG" title="Waddesdon Manor Christmas" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6O0C_4Yf0Om9TM3EOc5Av4CF9uDtpwUxrj50ZWS9LN6kWeR5Yln2RiJVXFJJLTwq42pYeRB-xzvTxA3eeboYnRzhhjS9sBO6wFzRvY5SWIWL8Glt0e-km3HQB_gPhtGRx78W0LVnSiXbzHDcAcuVRb5a4xUeI1Nhyphenhyphenm8sr71gm1jYuQ3abhA92ixHrzQCQ/s4032/Waddesdon%20Manor%20Christmas%20Event.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Waddesdon Manor Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6O0C_4Yf0Om9TM3EOc5Av4CF9uDtpwUxrj50ZWS9LN6kWeR5Yln2RiJVXFJJLTwq42pYeRB-xzvTxA3eeboYnRzhhjS9sBO6wFzRvY5SWIWL8Glt0e-km3HQB_gPhtGRx78W0LVnSiXbzHDcAcuVRb5a4xUeI1Nhyphenhyphenm8sr71gm1jYuQ3abhA92ixHrzQCQ/s16000/Waddesdon%20Manor%20Christmas%20Event.JPG" title="Waddesdon Manor Christmas" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX68yT9oa-f4jbtUYMWvj161QSz-wUmLEM8nrnCIyg6xJq7d-cOY9a61oU6yeK3qxirEm4LAYUXNoTtuEau2P4UzGRHYrCILS79UoIlvT0BacQgaQ1-ayHVmmKukgc2dCeryhd08vK2pI3FrgE4qGRGYW4Nuw8LcDv96_axnz9vMoZrFoZGc9yJH-CaJLv/s4032/Waddesdon%20Manor%20Christmas%20Places%20To%20Visit.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Waddesdon Manor Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX68yT9oa-f4jbtUYMWvj161QSz-wUmLEM8nrnCIyg6xJq7d-cOY9a61oU6yeK3qxirEm4LAYUXNoTtuEau2P4UzGRHYrCILS79UoIlvT0BacQgaQ1-ayHVmmKukgc2dCeryhd08vK2pI3FrgE4qGRGYW4Nuw8LcDv96_axnz9vMoZrFoZGc9yJH-CaJLv/s16000/Waddesdon%20Manor%20Christmas%20Places%20To%20Visit.JPG" title="Waddesdon Manor Christmas" /></a></div><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Waddesdon Manor </span></h4></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Waddesdon Manor looks like it has been taken from a fairytale with it's round turrets and magical facade. I personally enjoy the lead up to the 25th over the day itself as I love to embrace all the festivities and make sure to spread some Christmas joy throughout the month. If you're looking for things to do this festive season, then I've got just the list for you. </span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b>Bake Some Treats |</b> I personally love to bake in the lead up to Christmas as it's a great activity to get you in the festive mood, whilst getting a delicious treat out of it too. Gingerbread, chocolate pudding tiffin, mince pies and chocolate Yule log are just a few ideas of what you can whip up in the kitchen this Christmas. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b>Have A Film Marathon |</b> There's nothing I love more than spending an evening cosied up on the sofa surrounded by a cheese board and a few Christmas films lined up to watch. At the moment I've been watching the likes of The Holiday, Elf and Love Actually whilst completing a festive puzzle and having a games night - the perfect way to spend the evenings leading up the Christmas! </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b>Visit Christmas Lights |</b> Lots of stately homes are lit up with wonderful Christmas displays throughout the month, some with Christmas lights both inside and out with lots of different themes. They're often accompanied by a Christmas market which means there's lots of delicious food to be eaten and presents to buy. I'm lucky as I've visited quite a few recently, but it's always an activity I recommend if you're looking to get in the mood. Equally, if you want to stay local, then having a frosty evening walk around your area to see who has decorated the best this year is also a great yearly activity of mine. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b>Get Crafty | </b>I always try and take up a new craft over the Christmas period as an excuse to relax and unwind in front of a Christmas film. I'm still working on improving my knitting technique, but last year I took on a needle felt project and thoroughly enjoyed it. Other ideas could include practising calligraphy, colouring in or starting some DIY Christmas presents. </span></p><p></p><h4 style="text-align: left;"><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Wear a Christmas jumper</span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Donate to a local food bank</span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Read a Christmas book </span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Go ice skating</span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Make your own Christmas cards</span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Have a mince pie competition </span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Finish decorating the house</span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Make a homemade present </span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Listen to a Christmas playlist </span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Make a DIY garland or wreath</span></li></ul><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;">Decorate a gingerbread house</span></li></ul></h4><p></p>Lily PSBhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12212864996089059631noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4270300683408740221.post-864459541546283182023-12-11T21:02:00.000+00:002023-12-11T21:02:14.373+00:00Christmas Gift Guide - Cottage Core<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirHzr1KPySsHbRnKshKnUtfL6c0eFG4Ji3wAVnt3YONjaK4b2Z9X7tM2ykDc12nrXJq6syjvhuZNVrxE0DAgAW8NZ-2tcwSOmoUX0d5yHKmvvD5Uer6jVYDZEc9DRltGIQGAPEVj1og7q4BRsnDW74VIfZ7GASgOorq9Te1gmjuZcc6mUS8Q_OwWmiSyoL/s1596/Cottage%20Core%20Christmas%20Gift%20Guide.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Cottage Core Christmas Gift Guide" border="0" data-original-height="1596" data-original-width="1068" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirHzr1KPySsHbRnKshKnUtfL6c0eFG4Ji3wAVnt3YONjaK4b2Z9X7tM2ykDc12nrXJq6syjvhuZNVrxE0DAgAW8NZ-2tcwSOmoUX0d5yHKmvvD5Uer6jVYDZEc9DRltGIQGAPEVj1og7q4BRsnDW74VIfZ7GASgOorq9Te1gmjuZcc6mUS8Q_OwWmiSyoL/s16000/Cottage%20Core%20Christmas%20Gift%20Guide.jpg" title="Cottage Core Christmas Gift Guide" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;"><b>- All links in this blog post are affiliate links. -</b></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">When I finally decided I wanted to do a few Christmas gift guides this year, the 'Cottage Core' instalment was top of my list. Personally, I think the <b><a href="https://amzn.to/3Rha9YP" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Complete Book of the Flower Fairies</span></a></b> would be a great gift if you know anyone that is nostalgic for the flower fairy poems and illustrations. The bundles of layers, the brown hues and plaid prints just set my Autumn loving heart on fire. I've been scrolling through Very.co.uk a lot at the moment on the hunt to find new pieces for my Autumn wardrobe, so today I wanted to share some of my recent finds. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Looking for a dress for all Autumn occasions? From pumpkin picking to walks in the countryside - I think I've found a strong contender. Head to my disclaimer for more info - </b></span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Nestled in the Hampshire countryside, you'll find the the <b><a href="https://www.wallopswoodglamping.co.uk/the-huts/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Wriggly Tin Huts at Wallops Wood</span></a></b>, the perfect place to unwind and unplug. I first caught wind of these beautifully decorated shepherds huts from <b><a href="https://www.thelondoner.me/2017/06/back-to-wriggly-tin.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Rosie Londoner</span></a></b> many moons ago, but I finally got the visit and I am absolutely smitten with the set up. With minimal signal and no electricity, you'll be relying on the soft glow of the hurricane lamps and spending the night underneath the stars. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I stayed in the 'Old Winchester' hut at Wallops Wood, their shepherd's hut that is hidden away in a clearing in the woods which I've heard also gets bluebells in the Spring. As I visited in the Autumn, the blossoming flowers were replaced with falling leaves, but it was magical nevertheless. The reason why I chose the Old Winchester was because of the wood fired hot tub, which was the perfect way to warm up as the evenings got chillier. With bellies full of campfire food (and s'mores!), there were many hours spent in the steaming hot tub with only the sound of hooting owls to accompany us. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I was a little hesitant at first about the concept of having no lighting, but the hurricane lamps supplied for us made it extra cosy in the evenings as there were lamp hooks situated throughout the site meaning you were always illuminated with a golden glow. The Old Winchester was kitted out with a wood fired stove, meaning it kept the hut rather toasty all night long. With plush pillows and a warm duvet, I never felt the chill once when nestled inside the hut. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5ecyy1f8pOEry5mmw0NcQvowF4OQq0fz65HDhKIGOlXXxmaXblKgX0YGYcANW49z-buZqR0GN3WMUCoyLede5GtzJ5T3bpqZmJv81i6r2zGhhf51F0EjcTlqWXB3-o9nAajQqTKq1BQDLSkILMxYrbGRCazH7qR0quz7noSSmRaaG6ZwTxoBRik6FDZ_5/s4032/Glamping%20Wallops%20Wood%20Hampshire.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Wriggly Tin Huts Wallops Wood" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5ecyy1f8pOEry5mmw0NcQvowF4OQq0fz65HDhKIGOlXXxmaXblKgX0YGYcANW49z-buZqR0GN3WMUCoyLede5GtzJ5T3bpqZmJv81i6r2zGhhf51F0EjcTlqWXB3-o9nAajQqTKq1BQDLSkILMxYrbGRCazH7qR0quz7noSSmRaaG6ZwTxoBRik6FDZ_5/s16000/Glamping%20Wallops%20Wood%20Hampshire.JPG" title="Wriggly Tin Huts Wallops Wood" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHEPfxFzpD59RzFnXjRjyY1VW5QBxj4OL5u1uVYSGk2nhYGiyS0K4QbkMmwdHYWwOeb-CeG9m2pDJ0_cRAhblee06UZ8L-48Lp4E5mj1NuDu-DpKKuvqPqq1oiAt1QQdOv6o4xNKzS3D1M6nOWSllDKJNl0LCccm3yiMYlBjeWrPn1lTLecxuNzmMVV9Je/s4032/UK%20Hot%20Tub%20Staycation%20Hotel.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="UK Staycation Hot Tub Hampshire" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHEPfxFzpD59RzFnXjRjyY1VW5QBxj4OL5u1uVYSGk2nhYGiyS0K4QbkMmwdHYWwOeb-CeG9m2pDJ0_cRAhblee06UZ8L-48Lp4E5mj1NuDu-DpKKuvqPqq1oiAt1QQdOv6o4xNKzS3D1M6nOWSllDKJNl0LCccm3yiMYlBjeWrPn1lTLecxuNzmMVV9Je/s16000/UK%20Hot%20Tub%20Staycation%20Hotel.JPG" title="UK Staycation Hot Tub Hampshire" /></a></div></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3nbUfqNZNrmNd3-P3dtoUfU7lyY-c_bc2VftSdPNtVD8xhLCPk2FlVQtAbEomRYr6yVNED8F_UCUwNwA4Rb2gDwtAJvR7-D2Ip2t5CIP6Esc1ZoIzMAJfafavOqxcP8NIxaCoKqCc42nGU8oPRDLhOIgZeVlRxytvTMjTveqzIzAOo3QKA280YvxTebxV/s4032/Shepherds%20Hut%20Glamping.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Glamping UK Hotels" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3nbUfqNZNrmNd3-P3dtoUfU7lyY-c_bc2VftSdPNtVD8xhLCPk2FlVQtAbEomRYr6yVNED8F_UCUwNwA4Rb2gDwtAJvR7-D2Ip2t5CIP6Esc1ZoIzMAJfafavOqxcP8NIxaCoKqCc42nGU8oPRDLhOIgZeVlRxytvTMjTveqzIzAOo3QKA280YvxTebxV/s16000/Shepherds%20Hut%20Glamping.JPG" title="Glamping UK Hotels" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE0J04-DMXFFG_yPH5aRIcOGS32X0Q6CZtYs9jPXpEmizmaql7XkOOgaruq3uoneA7O068E88xTpzFKyj9T4v08nvYb4BtHQoEC7iKayKfGImBEdo2ooUBcTg47prCWQviKTPjwKk4JxaSCP8W5hy11_5Lu4WZpX1KGXOjFSuCYdY-PFgTjuxHGcuplqfy/s4032/UK%20Staycation%20Shepherds%20Hut.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="UK Hotel Staycation Shepherds Hut" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE0J04-DMXFFG_yPH5aRIcOGS32X0Q6CZtYs9jPXpEmizmaql7XkOOgaruq3uoneA7O068E88xTpzFKyj9T4v08nvYb4BtHQoEC7iKayKfGImBEdo2ooUBcTg47prCWQviKTPjwKk4JxaSCP8W5hy11_5Lu4WZpX1KGXOjFSuCYdY-PFgTjuxHGcuplqfy/s16000/UK%20Staycation%20Shepherds%20Hut.JPG" title="UK Hotel Staycation Shepherds Hut" /></a></div><p></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">One of my favourite rituals of the staycation was making a delicious breakfast when the fog was descending on the campsite. It took a lot longer to cook breakfast on a campfire, but the process was rather therapeutic. Once the hot drinks were made, my attention turned to making scrambled eggs on toast and setting us up for the day. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Bundled up in our boots and coats, there was lots to offer around the area. If you're not looking to venture far, then they've got lots of walks for you to take straight from the campsite. Old Winchester Hill is not far and as it was our shepherds hut namesake, I just had to take a walk there. The warm October sun meant that layers were stripped off in no time, but the views of the rolling hills were spectacular. I also took a trip to the neighbouring New Forest, wandered around the beautiful villages of Hampshire and then ventured to Winchester itself all within a few days stay. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Back at Wallops Wood, there are nine shepherds hut to choose from, ranging from ones that sleep a two up to one that sleeps five alongside a separate hut you can also hire out if you have children. There's something for everyone. If you're looking for a digital detox, to explore the Hampshire countryside or if you're simply just looking for a new glamping experience, I couldn't recommend it more and will certainly be making a trip back soon. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Have you ever stayed in a shepherds hut before? </span></p>

For more info head to my disclaimer. -</b></span></div><p></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">When Autumn rolls around, I tend to focus mainly on spooky books to read around Halloween. This year, I knew I wanted a few more cosy Autumnal reads for the new season, perfect for when the wind is howling outside and the rain is hitting the window. Here are five of my recommendations: </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b><a href="https://amzn.to/3rn728L" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">The Ex Hex</span></a></b> | Set in Graves Glen, a town reminiscent of Stars Hollow and Salem, this witchy rom-com book will get to in the Halloween spirit. Although it's got witchcraft and paranormal themes, I would say this is a great pick for Autumn as it mainly focuses on the lead up to the 31st and has some seriously cosy vibes. I loved it so much that I immediately bought the second book, <b><a href="https://amzn.to/44ZYe6D" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">The Kiss Curse</span></a></b> and I would say that the second instalment may be even better than the first! </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b><a href="https://amzn.to/3Pm644x" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">When The Crow's Away</span></a></b> | This is the second book in the 'Evenfall Witches B&B' series and I got my hands on this after failing to find the first book, <b><a href="https://amzn.to/3Lr59yw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">In The Company of Witches</span></a></b>. It has everything you need for a cosy Autumn read - witches, a murder mystery and a ghost! It's fun, it has loveable characters and you're taken on a journey as we try and work out who killed Mort Sweet, the local sweet shop owner who has been conversing with resident witch, Brynn Warren. Need I say more! </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><a href="https://amzn.to/46lxwXb" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;"><b>Murder At The Pumpkin Pageant</b></span></a> | Cosy murder mysteries is a genre I could do a whole post about as I absolutely love them. They've often got an engaging plot with twists and turns, whilst having a comforting atmosphere and set in a small town or village. Murder At The Pumpkin Pageant ticks all of these boxes, being set in a bakery surrounded by delicious Autumn treats and is set in the lead up to October 31st and the weeks that follow. The way the Autumn season is described in this book is the reason why it's made it's way to this list, it's so descriptive and you really feel immersed in the season. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b><a href="https://amzn.to/46loUzT" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">The Haunting of Aveline Jones</span></a></b> | Middle grade books through Autumn and Halloween are my favourite genre of books to pick up. They're shorter than your average novel and offer up some seriously spooky tales. The Haunting of Aveline Jones is a book I've recommend before and it's cemented itself in my 'to re-read list' in Autumn. Although recommended for 9-11 year olds, it's actually the scariest book of the bunch, but still sets an cosy scene that is perfect for cuddling up with. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><b><a href="https://amzn.to/46hFy3b" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">The Secret Society of Irregular Witches</span></a></b> | I feel like this book sums up everything I want from a cosy November read, so whilst I'm a little premature I do think you should add it to your late Autumn to-read list. It's got both Autumn leaves and Wintery scenes, snow and a budding romance. You follow Mika Moon, a secret witch who has spent a lot of time on her own, who has been offered a job at a mysterious House. I absolutely loved all the characters and felt like I went on a true adventure with this book. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">What cosy books would you recommend to read this Autumn? </span></p>Lily PSBhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12212864996089059631noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4270300683408740221.post-85671554859332419182023-09-02T14:41:00.002+01:002023-09-02T16:27:56.443+01:00Cinnamon Swirl Muffin Recipe <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeCQIN2wI3KzM4WOEY6cTq6ufLNJpgR7QNtChXKpv4xZst84QVS7F9ApZCoZnebBwFBoN2x31DrtxBp3NV1VaOdC1rrRRsWVMor8twFnbISOhIMhJtERoJBuMQsqg6AjE8J3vrHqytvTrEMJXDaO9Ltou5opxsXXDmf4ffNUPf3GVSt1Zu8OZ8Z4Wg6z1H/s5184/Cinnamon%20Roll%20Muffin%20Recipe.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Cinnamon Roll Muffin Recipe" border="0" data-original-height="5184" data-original-width="3456" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeCQIN2wI3KzM4WOEY6cTq6ufLNJpgR7QNtChXKpv4xZst84QVS7F9ApZCoZnebBwFBoN2x31DrtxBp3NV1VaOdC1rrRRsWVMor8twFnbISOhIMhJtERoJBuMQsqg6AjE8J3vrHqytvTrEMJXDaO9Ltou5opxsXXDmf4ffNUPf3GVSt1Zu8OZ8Z4Wg6z1H/s16000/Cinnamon%20Roll%20Muffin%20Recipe.JPG" title="Cinnamon Roll Muffin Recipe" /></a></div> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK8bGyDQeaYkmDbh9JwD7GezriRSihY2OuqT0rVkdUxdttBgtHA67_SuKOb_6gLpeiHvaYiB4pLp6sWOmztUdyCrUL3z6qkd8oj0UueYAvmvx7tE96yU25CSyhokI4ZWJqZwXiY73DIKrWfDDefAQhmhyrZhBSLGhQiishEVNQZ25-rnOEfAygj6wweGdj/s5184/Cinnamon%20Swirl%20Muffins.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Cinnamon Swirl Muffin Recipe" border="0" data-original-height="5184" data-original-width="3456" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK8bGyDQeaYkmDbh9JwD7GezriRSihY2OuqT0rVkdUxdttBgtHA67_SuKOb_6gLpeiHvaYiB4pLp6sWOmztUdyCrUL3z6qkd8oj0UueYAvmvx7tE96yU25CSyhokI4ZWJqZwXiY73DIKrWfDDefAQhmhyrZhBSLGhQiishEVNQZ25-rnOEfAygj6wweGdj/s16000/Cinnamon%20Swirl%20Muffins.JPG" title="Cinnamon Swirl Muffin Recipe" /></a></div><div><br /></div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Cinnamon is one of my go-to flavours when Autumn rolls around - the warming spice fills the house with a deliciously moorish scent. If you're a fan of cinnamon rolls then you'll absolutely love these muffins. With a slight crunch on top, but moist in the centre, it'll be hard to share these around with friends. </span><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">This recipe has been adapted from the <b><a href="https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/cinnamon-swirl-quick-bread/#tasty-recipes-84056" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Sally's Baking Addiction</span></a></b> recipe. Personally, I've found such a difference in switching out butter for vegetable oil when it comes to muffin recipes as the crumb is a lot lighter and I get a better rise. Usually muffin recipes call for buttermilk, sour cream or any other additional ingredient that you may not have in your kitchen, so these are super simple and a great option if you need to whip something delicious up quickly. <br /></span><p></p><h4 style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Ingredients (Makes 6 large muffins) -</span></h4><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><i>Muffins;</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">240g Plain Flour</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">150g Caster Sugar</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">80ml Vegetable Oil</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">170ml Milk of Choice</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">1 Medium Egg</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">1tsp Vanilla Extract </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><i>Cinnamon Filling;</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">50g Light Brown Sugar</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">2tsp Cinnamon </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><i>Cinnamon Swirl Drizzle;</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">50g Icing Sugar </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Water</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><h4 style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Method </span></h4><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Pre-heat the oven to 180c and line a muffin tin with muffin cases. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Mix together oil, egg and milk and mix until combined. In the <b><a href="https://slooks.top/6MY1/66" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Look Fantastic August Box</span></a></b> there are products to pamper from head to toe, including three full size products. You can buy the Look Fantastic August box as a one off purchase for £15 or sign up for a 12 monthly subscription for £13 per month - this month's box is worth over £51!</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The product I am most excited to try out is the <b><a href="https://slooks.top/6MY0/66" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask</span></a></b> as it promises to soothe dry skin and have a cooling effect on the complexion. I've heard of Peter Thomas Roth masks before and having a deluxe size feels like the perfect way to try out it out before purchasing the full size. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">To go alongside my new face mask, the Look Fantastic August box also contains something that can help me along with my skincare routine. The <b><a href="https://slooks.top/6MY1/66" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">So Eco Mask Applicator</span></a></b> does exactly what it says on the tin. This silicone brush head is used to apply a face mask which therefore helps to get an even application of the face mask and makes it less messy overall. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieLaWzq7J4Bcb7mo3LHNBmjc7uStLQVbY8-4fy51Orn4_HqvekSh6RLbhhmVBXF06ogk0PB2Ej7F_LFr-wZbkD9JIPM6Z-SZl3IwVX6B5xkTA86_WJCGBMSjlUpjODGinfASEevN_cGGU8I0FpFEgJkpeimJS0Bk5FLn8AUnMjHmYgwy2HpjJzogcY9hM-/s5184/Look%20Fantastic%20August%20Beauty%20Box.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review" border="0" data-original-height="5184" data-original-width="3456" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieLaWzq7J4Bcb7mo3LHNBmjc7uStLQVbY8-4fy51Orn4_HqvekSh6RLbhhmVBXF06ogk0PB2Ej7F_LFr-wZbkD9JIPM6Z-SZl3IwVX6B5xkTA86_WJCGBMSjlUpjODGinfASEevN_cGGU8I0FpFEgJkpeimJS0Bk5FLn8AUnMjHmYgwy2HpjJzogcY9hM-/s16000/Look%20Fantastic%20August%20Beauty%20Box.JPG" title="Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyVowcDR-WXMRcK9NUyn66aZzduCZlZzdALlvF5j3rF3CsJaCx-sYztrSIaoGlw3TfSyo0rPoJYtV0P9ZJNv3-UKElEEgIolBWMdXKn0atTUT1Bc3wQiUN49xK4Eq99tieT3VmJlP0g-jyWY0G9xYAh3bBmwEk1e24dv_gNDiVlEPN-h9UYV4om9Cs9Dr2/s5184/Look%20Fantastic%20August%20Box%20Review.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review" border="0" data-original-height="5184" data-original-width="3456" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyVowcDR-WXMRcK9NUyn66aZzduCZlZzdALlvF5j3rF3CsJaCx-sYztrSIaoGlw3TfSyo0rPoJYtV0P9ZJNv3-UKElEEgIolBWMdXKn0atTUT1Bc3wQiUN49xK4Eq99tieT3VmJlP0g-jyWY0G9xYAh3bBmwEk1e24dv_gNDiVlEPN-h9UYV4om9Cs9Dr2/s16000/Look%20Fantastic%20August%20Box%20Review.JPG" title="Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review" /></a></div><p></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I'm always excited to try out new skincare products and in this months edition of the box there is a <a href="https://slooks.top/6MY1/66" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><b><span style="color: #666666;">Revolution Skincare Multi Acid AHA and BHA Serum</span></b></a> which is used in a similar way to a traditional mask. This time with the <b><a href="https://slooks.top/6MY2/66" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Rituals The Ritual of Karma Body Cream</span></a></b> which has a delightful scent that lingers on the body, whilst the rich, but fast absorbing texture sinks in the skin leaving it feeling supple and rejuvenated. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">For the hair, Look Fantastic have put in the <b><a href="https://slooks.top/6MY3/66" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Bleach London Reincarnation Mask</span></a></b> to nourish dry and damaged hair. For more info head to my disclaimer. -</span></b></div><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Whenever August rolls around, I always get a little excited about Autumn. Although I'm not quite ready to let go of the long evenings and warm, sunny days outside, I have started to look for some home decor pieces for the new season.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Picture this. The rain is pouring outside and you've got snuggled up in bed with a book or a cosy film. The perfect place to rest would be amongst a <b><a href="https://tidd.ly/3rxTffe" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Pumpkin Duvet Cover</span></a></b> and this one is similar to a duvet design I bought a few years back now. To match, I have been eyeing up this <b><a href="https://tidd.ly/3s0huTF" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Pumpkin Tufted Cushion</span></a></b> which I think is cute and lovely if you just wanted to add accents of Autumn around your house. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">If you want something spookier than this then the <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+wz-vq73O6b7vkZkVLD6iPw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Dunelm Ghost Tufted Duvet Cover</span></a></b> would be a great pick, whereas if you want something more on the Autumnal theme then this <b><a href="https://tidd.ly/45j1c6N" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #999999;">Vintage Woodland Duvet</span></a></b> would be just as great! </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">It always feels like I start Autumn shopping early, but honestly most of the time it's because the best stuff goes first and I don't want to miss out. TK Maxx and Homesense are my favourite places to shop for rare items and it's not well known that you can get pieces online delivered to you. I keep an eye on the <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+9pmmm_kGC7cvqvcMu8B4pw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">new in halloween page</span></a></b> and I'm hoping there will be more for the Halloween pieces released as we get further into the season.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Shopping for kitchen items is always one of my favourite things to do and George at Asda has this <b><a href="https://tidd.ly/3O3JpJB" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Pumpkin Shaped Mug</span></a></b> and <b><a href="https://tidd.ly/3DEN7oq" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Pumpkin Shaped Teapot</span></a></b> which I think so many people will want to get their hands on - how cute are those two together? Matalan is also another favourite place to visit in the Autumn season and this <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+3AuF9zDZuc7SlNy9cF3V4g" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Pumpkin Mug</span></a></b> would be a great addition to my kitchen as well. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Have you spotted any new in Autumn home decor? </span></p>

Their beautiful dresses have a whimsical feel to them that really suits the aesthetic that I so often look for. Now there's no denying that they can be over the top, with their tulle material and puff style, but I think at the end of the day Selkie just want to have fun with their designs and I'm more than happy to act like a fairytale princess in them. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Selkie dresses have been in and out of my basket and I've spent hours scouring the secondhand apps looking for their pieces to pop up. To own one finally, feels like a dream come true. When I spotted this local daisy field, I knew that I had to shoot my new <b><a href="https://collabs.shop/s3mf5k" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Selkie Dopamine Romance Novella Dress</span></a></b> amongst the blooming flowers - especially at sunset when it would compliment the pastel colours perfectly. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The off the shoulder and lace detail just feel perfect for my style and in terms of photography, I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this dress over the years - frolicking in the fallen cherry blossom or running away from a castle. I know a lot of the debate about Selkie dresses are that they're occasion dresses, but I think they've still got lots on offers for more a day to day princess wear. The <b><a href="https://collabs.shop/w3cdrl" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Selkie Day Dresses</span></a></b> are a great example of a more wearable style and one of them is now on the top of my wishlist for wandering about English gardens in the Summer. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">On the more extravagant side, I would love to one day own one of their gowns. The <b><a href="https://collabs.shop/mbk9gz" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Head in The Clouds Cotton Ritz</span></a></b> has been on my wishlist for some time, but it's really the <b><a href="https://collabs.shop/ebzqkt" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Venus Ritz Gown</span></a></b> that I think I'll one day own. The puff sleeves and detailing on the tulle fabric looks magical and although not practical for everyday wear, I think it's a piece that be shot in photos beautifully.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Tulle can often feel scratchy and once layered up can be hot to wear also. I was super happy to find out that neither were true with my first Selkie dress. Although the off the shoulder detailing called for a strapless bra, I never felt irritated by the dress and the elastic to keep the sleeves on my arms didn't feel too loose or too tight, meaning no marks and no slipping down. The back of the dress has a bow which you can use to synch in the waist further, but I tied it loosely as I just wanted to give the dress as an extra pretty detail. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Of course each dress is an investment and something to be considered when purchasing. If you're looking to splurge on a <a href="http://selkiecollection.com/pintsized" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><b><span style="color: #666666;">Selkie dress</span></b></a> then you can use code #pintsized for 10% off orders. </span></p>Lily PSBhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12212864996089059631noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4270300683408740221.post-86264915365106042302023-06-16T15:14:00.007+01:002024-01-08T19:53:08.487+00:00An Ode To Son De Flor <p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgREksQ2vjcyCSC2Oner9WvZA3Q6zq15Xq4fgK_QkKUYnqyGVTOI6dFoyu-fXPOxEasue_HwLNjmUCZFm6TLqn55hXNJjkrim3CbNCCT6pE-OJPW0Ov7ifM2yBz2EIB-Ex3H_Fj2sU1PM10C3Kli1aomPNRdNR3WOOXVRNuuj9EP1h0dsPm2KYi3pZKrA/s4032/Son%20De%20Flor%20Linen%20Dresses.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Son De Flor Linen Dresses" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgREksQ2vjcyCSC2Oner9WvZA3Q6zq15Xq4fgK_QkKUYnqyGVTOI6dFoyu-fXPOxEasue_HwLNjmUCZFm6TLqn55hXNJjkrim3CbNCCT6pE-OJPW0Ov7ifM2yBz2EIB-Ex3H_Fj2sU1PM10C3Kli1aomPNRdNR3WOOXVRNuuj9EP1h0dsPm2KYi3pZKrA/s16000/Son%20De%20Flor%20Linen%20Dresses.JPG" title="Son De Flor Linen Dresses" /></a></span></div><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;"><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM1rrfAvtCBC9IDGoBBafau3xSdq3M3e8IzpWfvxG-Gp0Z9rwixzoYDCt531EVC5ZGLyLLtrHT_dXQq_Cvau6TYXzIkb52_ESsptFKepd5ucYIS76ijwazsWKFfsVbVVyR5iMyb0cP20tbpUexo0iJCcG8k8epl6AycFd1usQe6HCg4cPbZrPMSgGCcQ/s3965/Son%20De%20Flor%20Linen%20Spring%20Summer%20Dress.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Son De Flor Pink Gingham Linen Dress" border="0" data-original-height="3965" data-original-width="3017" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM1rrfAvtCBC9IDGoBBafau3xSdq3M3e8IzpWfvxG-Gp0Z9rwixzoYDCt531EVC5ZGLyLLtrHT_dXQq_Cvau6TYXzIkb52_ESsptFKepd5ucYIS76ijwazsWKFfsVbVVyR5iMyb0cP20tbpUexo0iJCcG8k8epl6AycFd1usQe6HCg4cPbZrPMSgGCcQ/s16000/Son%20De%20Flor%20Linen%20Spring%20Summer%20Dress.JPG" title="Son De Flor Pink Gingham Linen Dress" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b style="text-align: left;"><br /></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>- All products have been sent to me, but no obligation no obligation to review. It's hard to believe I've never dedicated a blog post to their dresses as I wear them so often. </span><span style="font-family: helvetica;">From butterfly sleeves to button ups, from minis to midis, I have a variety of their dresses to talk about and it's hard to know where to begin.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The <b><a href="https://sondeflor.com/collections/linen-classic-dress?a=pintsizedphoto" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #999999;">Classic dresses</span></a></b> come in a short and long sleeve version, both with a button up detail and delicate collar. The Brown Checkers Mini Dress is perfect for Autumn, whilst the Marsala Red Midi Dress has been worn both at Christmas as well as Springtime amongst the flowers. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The 'Sophie' silhouette has been a favourite of mine for some time, I have a forest green colour perfect for Autumn and Winter as well as a sunny yellow shade great for Springtime underneath the laburnum trees. The open shelves, mason jars and trailing houseplants just make my heart sing. In the Summer, I love to whip up a fresh batch of bread or a colourful, delicious salad, so I wanted to make sure I had a kitchen that I felt comfortable being in. </span><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Although I love pretty pieces in the kitchen, I like them to be practical too, so my excuse for my excessive dish collection is that it helps me when baking - that's what I like to tell myself anyway. Wild garlic, also known as Ramsons, are known to be a sign of ancient woodland and not only does it smell delicious, you can actually use it in food too. </span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Now, I would recommend anyone looking to pick wild garlic, to have a read up on what it looks like and where's best to forage as there are similar looking plants that can be dangerous to consume. Once you're familiar with wild garlic, then grab yourself a wicker basket and get collecting the leaves. Never dig up the actual bulbs of the garlic as they have no use in cooking and instead it'll mean the plants won't grow back the following year. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Wild garlic can be used in basil pesto, asparagus salads or it can be used inside homemade gnocchi. One of my personal favourite recipes is wild garlic butter which I'm going to share the simple and easy recipe with you today. </span></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Ingredients </span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">300ml Double Cream</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Foraged Wild Garlic</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Salt </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Electric whisk or mason jar </span></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Method</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">If you're using a mason jar, you need to pour your double cream inside and get shaking. You want it to separate until you have a lump of butter and buttermilk. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I personally use an electric whisk. Starting on a low setting, mix the double cream until it becomes thick. You want to continue past the 'whipped cream' Staes until it separates into a solid butter lump and buttermilk. You want to save the buttermilk for future use (in chocolate muffins or pancakes!). </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">In a separate bowl, add a few cubes of ice to water. Add the solid butter to the water and wash until any remaining buttermilk is washed out. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Wash and dry the foraged wild garlic leaves thoroughly. Chop them up as finely as you'd like. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">In a separate bowl add your butter and then add the chopped up wild garlic alongside salt to taste. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">If you're not shaping your butter then you can pop this into the fridge. If you want to give it shape, then I place it in cling film and then roll up it's in the shape I want. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Enjoy! </span></p>Lily PSBhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12212864996089059631noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4270300683408740221.post-48027680535648265472023-05-23T15:17:00.001+01:002024-03-05T15:43:50.545+00:00The Cottagecore Spring Dress Edit<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCl8uPNEw-5I3y9mIPQmILE_1LY26FKGQPVueRGsZ7EiT3NCSVnoJTSvMF_CUGIoS1fCebSlhKBWFAhctZm1u24qSbOKNpAzp_oinGRvZB8tcwVe5r67RXqRx87bEs7lJ5dmhXmp1dm_-vzH3EuxCmvg7IRAxOo2W1OBN0Pl5dUfgjuddyScdnBmYb9w/s4032/Spring%20Summer%20Cottage%20Core%20Dresses%20.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCl8uPNEw-5I3y9mIPQmILE_1LY26FKGQPVueRGsZ7EiT3NCSVnoJTSvMF_CUGIoS1fCebSlhKBWFAhctZm1u24qSbOKNpAzp_oinGRvZB8tcwVe5r67RXqRx87bEs7lJ5dmhXmp1dm_-vzH3EuxCmvg7IRAxOo2W1OBN0Pl5dUfgjuddyScdnBmYb9w/s16000/Spring%20Summer%20Cottage%20Core%20Dresses%20.JPG" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: x-small;"><b><i>- All links in this blog post are affiliate links. I've put together a list of some of my recent favourite finds, so if you're looking for a new Summer dress, then look no further. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I often like to do a spot of window shopping at Sezane and I came across a couple of pieces that I think would slot into my wardrobe perfectly. It has flutter sleeves and a shirred back detail which are both super flattering and comfortable too! Although I definitely stick to more understated pieces, I I can't help but luster after some more beautiful dresses like the <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+zKXeE_WsfR0tROlBITM9Aw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Ivy City Co Flora Dress</span></a></b> which I I feel like I need to have an excuse to wear - I think it'd be great for a garden party. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Below are my other top picks: </span></p>

Throughout the Spring and Summer months, there's so many flowers to see, from bluebells to wisteria, but today I am focusing on the one's you can see in April. Whether you're planning to take a look at them this year or you're saving this post for 2024, I hope you find some floral inspiration here.</span><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Blossom</span></h4><p></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">White blossom, cherry blossom, blackthorn, hawthorn or apple, there's so many different types of blossom in the UK, it can be hard to keep track. Blossom can be seen amongst hedgerows or as beautiful trees, but all I know is a I like to soak up every second we have with them. My personal favourites are the chunky pink blossom trees as I love when the petals come fluttering down onto the ground. You can find these in pretty villages, parks and of course local gardens. Here are some places that I've seen that look spectacular: </span></p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Doddington House and Gardens</span></li><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The Stray, Harrogate</span></li><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Greenwich Park</span></li></ul><p></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Daffodils</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I'm certainly cheating putting daffodils in this line up as you can usually see them from as early as the end of February right around til mid-April. I thought they had to be included in this post so you save them for next year's bloom watch. One of the first flowers to come out in Spring, these yellow flowers are often see in the English countryside in small bunches, but at stately homes and gardens, they tend to be planted in excess, so they're well worth a visit in the Springtime. Did you know that there are up to 25 different varieties of daffodils and they daffodil field can continue on blooming for decades. Below are some places to check out: </span></p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Waddesdon Manor</span></li><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Stourhead House and Gardens</span></li><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Wimpole Hall</span></li><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Thriplow Village</span></li><li><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Chatsworth House</span></li></ul><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNlwCf1VmFsm8YFWpc1tvsFGF1E9R8zDNSrpuRWxnWzaQuDCKaKpP952Kl3jBYFX5QPjR28Sa6Y31za7LUu8bmfHhuGNBj8L_4VeZxGIJd8DDgdVK2u4zfFI3QQVGR7O71d5qAu0jaJ4dumWpIlvmnj9-58jChatPp_Wtpeun4fEsUXjw8dXBpEzpNGg/s4032/Daffodils%20English%20Countryside%20March%20April%20Flowers.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Daffodil Flower Field" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNlwCf1VmFsm8YFWpc1tvsFGF1E9R8zDNSrpuRWxnWzaQuDCKaKpP952Kl3jBYFX5QPjR28Sa6Y31za7LUu8bmfHhuGNBj8L_4VeZxGIJd8DDgdVK2u4zfFI3QQVGR7O71d5qAu0jaJ4dumWpIlvmnj9-58jChatPp_Wtpeun4fEsUXjw8dXBpEzpNGg/s16000/Daffodils%20English%20Countryside%20March%20April%20Flowers.JPG" title="Daffodil Flower Field" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgMib03RM5KCTzQE0alUHBh43o-tYQi5GY4W1ZE02wAmV90bcDY2diuHpTqSNvLzIFWxapemNPYxqssVWVDa_FyMGE5waY_P6ayD0ZSrtpzRLaoW-2wiZG_NA1wTMZVYyqRlYtJaBnhh3cnvWnWLniO0nRgcJqIKQJR2ZI7nay4aa1M7_LEK_N6UqKPQ/s4019/Magnolia%20Trees%20English%20Spring%20Places%20To%20See.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Magnolia Tree English Gardens" border="0" data-original-height="4019" data-original-width="3017" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgMib03RM5KCTzQE0alUHBh43o-tYQi5GY4W1ZE02wAmV90bcDY2diuHpTqSNvLzIFWxapemNPYxqssVWVDa_FyMGE5waY_P6ayD0ZSrtpzRLaoW-2wiZG_NA1wTMZVYyqRlYtJaBnhh3cnvWnWLniO0nRgcJqIKQJR2ZI7nay4aa1M7_LEK_N6UqKPQ/s16000/Magnolia%20Trees%20English%20Spring%20Places%20To%20See.JPG" title="Magnolia Tree English Gardens" /></a></div><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Magnolia </span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Magnolia came out in April this year, but word to the wise, it's best to keep an eye out for them in late March also. Spread out half of your milk and white chocolate chips and then knead them in. Here are a few of my tips that I've used recently to help save me money when purchasing new beauty products: </span></div><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Know When To Spend or Save</span></h4><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">This may sound a little too simple, but I've found over the years that I know which products work best on the high street and others that I would like to spend a little bit more on. If you know that high street mascaras just work for you, then that's a great way to save, whilst if you know that going high end for your foundations work best, then that'll save you money in the long run instead of shopping around the high street wasting money. I've personally found over the years that I get a lot more use out of single eyeshadow or blusher than I do a whole palette worth of them, so I tend to shop individually, saving me money (and space in the makeup bag!) in the process. </span></div><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Try Out Samples </span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">As someone who used to be very much of a "splurge" on beauty products kind of person, I've definitely embraced trying out samples of products before committing to the full size. This enables me to make sure that the colour suits me the best, the formula suits my skin type and that I'll actually use it enough to make it worth the money. </span></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Look For Discount Codes</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I rarely shop online without looking for a discount code. I'll check the brands social media accounts first to see if there are any exclusive codes for that day and then I'll check out </span><b style="font-family: helvetica;"><a href="https://www.lovediscountvouchers.co.uk/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Love Discount Vouchers</span></a></b><span style="font-family: helvetica;"> to make sure I'm not missing out on any deals. Even if it's 5% or 10%, it's great to save a little money when you purchase anything online. Sometimes this will include signing up to a newsletter or collecting points on a card to use later. </span></p><h4 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Dupes</span></h4><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Another great way to save on your beauty products is looking for dupes. Whilst sometimes the original can be the best, there are lots of dupes out there to try first which can end up saving you a lot of money. My favourite dupes have always been the <b><a href="https://www.boots.com/nyx-professional-makeup-soft-matte-lip-cream-14g-10207816" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams</span></a></b> being a great alternative to the <b><a href="https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/jouer-cosmetics-long-wear-lip-creme-liquid-lipstick-rose-gold-collection/13311267.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2cWgBhDYARIsALggUhotthGGwO36dlUjNRcjssay2_HefNyc8kDqf-GKu-EA31A9BKgCvBsaAkVrEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Jouer Long Wear Lip Crèmes</span></a></b>, whilst the <b><a href="https://www.beautybay.com/p/nyx-professional-makeup/born-to-glow-liquid-illuminator/sunbeam/?ctyid=gb&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAjw_MqgBhAGEiwAnYOAej4ZvDgjJjHl_CswerZ8ulXRoJ73zKiHX2eB8EBx3uvery_u23aYzBoCqWQQAvD_BwE" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">NYX Born To Glow Illuminator</span></a></b> was once a fantastic dupe for the now discontinued, Nars Copacabana Illuminator. With daffodils blooming, lambing season underway and the evenings getting lighter, I think it's safe to say that Spring is just around the corner. The first way I've been doing that is introducing new cushions in my living room and bedroom. I'm a fan of using cushion covers as they're easy to put away and take up less space. These <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+9FzU7c6J6fN6G6OvDAUW3g" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Dunelm Stripe Ruffle Cushion</span></a></b> have been a welcomed addition as I have both the blue and yellow shades to add contrasting colour to my room. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">You'll all know by now the love I have for seasonal duvet covers, but after years of my <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+-9dJvkpUvQ3C4889o-hIcw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">La Redoute Polka Dot Duvet Cover</span></a></b> being a favourite every Spring, I thought it was about time to pick up a new one. This <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+5VCBzmmCxcRlmTeVITCdYw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Daisy Plate</span></a></b> is adorable for light lunches, whilst this <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+YNSWmCLTbScE-EjQF3B6EQ" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Strawberry Bowl</span></a></b> would be great for snacks and nibbles. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div>

Described as a 'bottled memory of paper and waxed wood', this fragrance embodies the feeling of being immersed in the pages of a book. I wasn't initially going to give this perfume a post of it's own, but after the amount of compliments I've gotten since wearing this, I thought it was only fair. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">When I first chose out this scent, I was torn between Whispers In The Library and <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+_nxUz-prSBMK6dMX3KX80g" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">Autumn Vibes</span></a></b>, the latter feeling like it would suit me best purely by name alone. It was surprising to me when I finally decided on Whispers In The Library, but I couldn't deny how delicious it smelt and how beautifully it lingered on my skin - I could even smell it on my clothes several days later. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I've owned a couple of Maison Margiela Replica fragrances before and they've never disappointed me, so although they come with a hefty price tag, I find I don't make my way through the bottle at the same speed as I do other perfumes. Like their other fragrances, they always pick the perfect name for each scent and I love that each perfume is made to replica the feeling you get from certain places and events in time. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">With both woody and vanilla notes, this perfume would be great for everyone as I think it's sits differently on the skin depending on the person. It's warming and rich without being too overpowering and the subtle sweet vanilla scent really cuts through the other notes. When it comes to perfume, they have to be long lasting to make me fall in love with them as I hate spritzing on a new perfume, only for the scent to disappear less than an hour later. This lingers for as long as you wear it and the compliments I've received has definitely been a bonus! </span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Have you tried a Maison Margiela Replica perfume before?</span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div>

The cable knit jumpers, checked skirt and trench coats of this style make it one of my favourite style of clothes to wear in Winter. </span><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Whilst there's no rules when it comes to clothes, the dark academia aesthetic definitely leans more towards oversized collars, plaid prints and brown muted tones. I feel like it's all about romanticising what you wear in the colder months and for me, the dark academia wardrobe feels like you've stepped out of The Secret History or Pride and Prejudice. </span><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica;">A trench coat feels like a must-have and I personally love my houndstooth print similar to <b><a href="https://rstyle.me/+DMxT3_-hoy61XXlw1raokQ" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="color: #666666;">this Mango one</span></a> </b>as it goes with a variety of outfits, but always looks well put together.
